Just to clarify, there is no commission per se:
"Buying and Selling domains on EstiBot is 100% free to both buyer and seller. While the seller needs to be a registered user, the buyer does not need to register. There is no commission and no cost to list, buy or sell domain names on our marketplace."

But what you do need is an Estibot subscription (for their suite of tools including appraisal, market research, lead generation, bid research, etc.). If you get, or already have that, there is no additional charge for the marketplace, but as I and others have pointed out those subscriptions start at $29 /month currently.

Bob

No association with Estibot, I do not subscribe to one of their plans.

Thanks for this. I wasn't thinking there was an extra charge for this. It was my understanding that the marketplace was paying them a commission for each sale sent to them. At least that was my understanding from @OmarVG's post above. No cost to the buyer or the seller. Perhaps @OmarVG could clarify what he meant. Or if he misspoke?

So little dollars in domaining, nobody will build a good market
No good auction site with free listing, accepts domains at all registrars, and quick payouts

I will not use it with current, kind of outdated, features. If it becomes popular and technically upgraded, I might change my mind. $29 a month is not much, but my guess is that a sale is not very likely. At least for now. I could be wrong.

Off topic: I think Undeveloped did set a standard for modern domain market places.

Hi Everyone, Sorry to jump in a bit late as we don't visit boards too often. Time is a bit difficult to find between EstiBot/domainIQ and NamePulse (as well as other services). To clarify: 1) There are no commissions, but yes you do have to be a paid subscriber; 2) There is a filter option (Will try to upload screenshot). The filter button is by the word "Showing"; 3) Not really sure what people mean with affiliate commissions. If you have a domain listed with a broker and you sell it on our Marketplace, we wouldn't be receiving a payout from that from your broker. You may, however, want to double check with your current marketplace/broker to see if they require your listing to be exclusive. 4) The appraisal is not mandatory in the listing, you can choose to have it included, or not.

This is just the first iteration. If you have suggestions, please submit them on our site through a support ticket. We will rank paid subscriber submissions ahead of most others as matter of policy.

Thank you, IR

Estibot would be used more frequently if it didn't limit people to 2 free domain valuations per day

So on the third valuation etc It asks to register etc so people just close the page and go on godaddy govalue instead

Estibot is making godaddy a fortune Estibot not being unlimited free valuations

We initially had 5 free appraisals, and then some folks tried to use that to scrape data. That's the problem. There was a time we restricted the appraisals, then moved to ease those restrictions and the data scrapers returned. We can't go around banning entire A-blocks of IPs, because that would affect our customers. We also can't let people abuse loopholes. If that never happened, we'd still be at least at 5 free appraisals today and maybe consider more.

Your subscription is high, if you can reduce it by 75%, surely more people will join and make Estibot more worthy.
Thank you.

Actually, we did try something like that as well. We had $5/mo and $10/mo plans for a time last year, but they didn't really produce a desired outcome. Perhaps we will give it another shot in the future.

May be you did not give enough publicity about this $5/month plan.
