I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

For anyone interested, bud dot ca is now on Flippa...... If you have an extra 30K US floating around..... Not my domain but it’s a great name!

Wow! I wonder if it will sell ....

It looks like a TBR week dominated by LLLs rather than premium single-words. Pretty low-end overall, and I can't see there being a huge rush this week.

I like mark.ca on sedo right now

Leave your mark!

Little too rich and in USD though.

I think everyone here is trying to follow the old advice their mom gave, "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". That's why we only hear crickets right now...

OK so on namejet

Picture0001.png

Am I missing something here or is there no way to select .ca?
I punched in .ca in search and selected ends with but that is stop gap at best.

How can one add .ca and namejet can't really be limiting themselves to just these extensions (n)

Namejet isn't exactly .CA friendly (yet they include .pizza?) so what I have to do is Unselect all of them, then type .CA into the search bar.

There are just a few of them, but a couple are nice and the 2-letter doesn't have a crazy reserve.

I did that too but if you add it to saved searches it puts it in as ca.com

Stupid to not allow selection of more extensions.

The .CA To Be Released / TBR Weekly Picks for June 12 is online:

The .CA numbers are currently in a holding pattern at just above 9K, but the overall quality level is quite different depending on the area you’re looking at. The 3-letter options were much better, and 4 of them even hit our Top Pics, but the single-word options declined considerably and there are really no true premiums this week. Due to this, our Top Picks list is primarily LLL domains, including...

Hot Off the Presses!

We're all buying each other's garbage.
I've seen:
Oilhub.ca
Loanmatch.ca
Growmasters.ca

I tried qwik.ca last year and here it is again.

I know, and I call these "Bad Penny" domains that keep getting tossed back into the sea year after year.

I hand registered a 3-letter for 99-cents just over a year ago, tried to sell it with zero interest, and a few weeks ago it was a top 10 pick.

That's why I urge restraint in some of the TBR Reports, as these all look so bright and shiny on the TBR list, but you really need to emphasize quality over quantity. I would take 1 premium LLL over 10 (or even 20) lower-end ones.

I'm just pursuing one word premiums and very little on the TBR interests me that does not match that criteria. I would rather pay more and get quality.

"Bad Penny Domains" is a nice turn of phrase.

Makes sense, but would you ignore a one-word premium for sale here only to buy it at a higher price at TBR? I may be wrong, but I think that is the point @dtagr and @DomainRecap are trying to make.

I remember back in the day, mostly at the "other" place, where I would put up names for like $5 and get no takers only to see them taken at TBR.

I often wonder who knows about TBR but doesn't know about the forums

No, my son wins.... I'm buying the domains for him. He is 12 and already well into the business with his own portfolio. I said he can have mine when he is 18 to start his own business. At that point I plan to be in the caribbean somewhere and the last thing I'll be thinking about is buying domains :xf.laugh:

Did anyone see any single-words that might have warranted a Top Pick?

I was thinking of Recital or Heed, both well-used in business, but it was a tough call.

Hey, if you're going to be in the Caribbean within 6 years, then you're winning.

I only saw Skeleton as a top one word.
I see recital as a CBC program - actual URL cbc.ca/radioone/englishprogramming/arts/recital

I only saw Skeleton as a top one word.

Sure, but I had to put in Morphine, as the governments seem to have an insatiable appetite for legal drugs and gambling as revenue sources going forward, no matter if they target the poor and stupid of society.

A decade from now, the only illegal drug might be heroin.

I see that as forward-thinking domain investment, just like being offered marijuana.ca or cannabis.ca 10-15 years ago.

HRMS was a nice 4L too. Stands for 'Human Resource Management System'
