offers Received an offer $3000, should I accept or wait?

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Domain name: Royal*Cosmetics in com
Received a first offer $2000, buyer's final offer $3000, buyer also is aiming to negotiate for an alternative (.co extension) in case the .com cannot be secured.

What do you advice, accept $3k? Before, i have many offers in range low xxxx

Thanks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Buyer from HongKong, my counter was 9K, but his max offer $3k or will choose another domain in 3K price range
Sit on that $9k offer.

Let him raise the bid...it's an EMD.. .he's not gonna choose dot Co for $6k...don't compromise.

If he senses you are Weak on the Price, he's not gonna raise the price, so be firm.

It's a total bluff. Any company that has a quarter of a BILLION dollars in sales isn't going to f*ck around with a .co. They want to become a major player in the U.S. market and know that RoyalCosmetics.co and the domain they use right now RoyalCosmeticsUSA.com are garbage. Even if they went for the .co I can promise you at some point in the next couple years they will be back to get the .com. Put a $25,000 price tag on it and just wait.
Exactly 👌

I would have asked you to sell it at $3000 but after reading through the analysis, here's what I think.

Explain to your contact that you made a research about them and found out that they are a big company in Japan trying to break into the US market.

Tell them that you know about the other domain names they own and you're also aware that the other extensions are not available.

Let them know that you're ready to sell the domain to their competitors whenever they make an offer at the right price.

In my experience, no BIG company want to lose out on a deal to their competitors if they have the money.

Good luck.

Your suggestions are worthy inputs to win UDRP if filed.

Talking from my own experience.

How quick is your stock moving could you best use the money now? Could it ease some other renewals worth more? Could a sale stimulate your own well being and encourage you to work more with what you have? Just a few other things you can consider.

Mentioning intel on them is the last thing you would do— bad advice. Instead, he has to calmly state the merits of that name and why it’s value is higher than what he was offered. Or you make a buy it now button and go silent.

I really like these threads to see others opinions but I have to be honest I now understand why more people don’t get five figures. They are afraid to ask for it.

I support the OP whatever decision he makes including giving them a hell of a deal. That’s just not the course I would take.

This is a hell of a name, I'd go as far as telling them to go with the .co, and that the price you're quoting now is 25k as some users above suggested.

May be to set Mike Mann's bin price 19888?:xf.smile:

are u sure they wouldn't choose the .co to be "progressive?" ;)

250m annual revenue means their website has a lot of users visiting it, and a large volume of email data. They would quickly realise their error of their choice when customers start complaining about bounced mails and their website not resolving.

According to other posters there are many other end users who may also be interested.

A perfect storm where you need to maximise your ROI.

That's a very nice name, taken in lots of extensions, if you can forgo $3k now, Hopefully it'll make you some nice bux, even if it's not, you can easily sell it for 2-3k range...

It for sale @ $14,999 did you set it up now?

I'd Hold on to it.. $25k-$50k will be my asking price...

imo.

Don't sell it for below thank $8k. This is a great domain and the buyer is a company that can pay good money.

.co is completely second-tier and to me, a business student, unprofessional for a business selling high-end, special niche goods.

If you can afford to miss out, maybe counter with a measure of goodwill. Don't go overboard or sound confrontational. You are the asset owner--they are the prospective buyer.

I don't go to the dealership and demand a sharp discount on a 2019 model because somehow I think I'm special.

I have to pay to play, just like everyone else.

OP - please do NOT follow these directions, because at that point the next communication you would receive will be from their lawyers.

You should sell it for $3000.00. That's not a bad price.

& the OP wanted us to make their decision making easier. Take it, don't take it, sell, don't sell, 3k 4k 5k 6k 7k 8k 9k.

This is gonna cloud their judgment for sure.

OP, only you know what you should do.

I think the odds are in your favor that you could get more sometime in the near future.

Sounds like a fortune cookie🥠 lol

Definitely hold out for more. This would make a great cosmetic brand name.

Wont accept any offer less than 5 figures to begin with.$3k is way too small if i owned this name.Go with with your guts.I turned down $5k recently within 9 days on a new purchase and i paid less than $100 for it.
There is a reason most people make constant 5 figures and separate themselves from other domainers who easily give in and leave too much on the table.
From the few response here so far,I see domainers I would listen to their advise next time.I see people wirh guts.Domaining is bigger than most people see it.

Dont sell cheap.💪

he has already countered at $9,000
Interesting. The meet in the middle and finance options are still applicable. Though there may have been money left on the table.
