I'm catching the tail end of this, seems to be some kind of controversy...

https://domaingang.com/domain-news/rob-monster-off-twitter-after-christchurch-massacre-controversy/

Must be something odd to evoke this type of a response from one of our members.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Speaking of Deathbed confessions, another user here at NamePros jogged my memory just now of a good one which I was trying to recall today: Roger Morneau:

This guy ended up becoming Seventh Day Adventist. Yes, Saturday is the Biblical sabbath. However, Christians are under grace which SDA folks deny with their works-based plan of salvation.

I think SDA uses this tell-all video to get people to consider SDA. However, the takeaway is really that there is a supernatural realm and we ignore it at our peril.

Thanks Tom. Appreciate the love. :)

As for the domaining business, I have said before that free speech and free commerce will determine the future of the domain industry. In a world where winner-takes-all, there will be very limited need for domains. That Orwellian scenario is closer than you think and is impacted by choices made by people in our industry.
...
At the end of the day, the public internet was intended to be decentralized. It empowers individuals to engage with content, community and commerce. It is an amazing to have been a tiny part of it. That said, if the censors and regulators overreach, decentralized solutions will go mainstream very quickly.

Could not agree more.

Privacy; Freedom of ideas, information, and opinions; and Individual control and responsibility are the future of the internet and society. We need to learn how to exchange ideas respectfully. We used to know how to do that, but lost it somewhere on the path to social media . . . It will come back - I am convinced - but it all depends on each of our individual actions.

@NameLlama

Fox News generally is a xenophobic, islamophobic, fear-mongering propaganda machine.

.

Hardly. Their NEWS division is one of the best on TV. (Chris Wallace, Howard Kurtz, John Roberts, Juan Williams, etc . . .) Truly fair and balanced as advertised.

Their opinion division is totally different.

That is some vintage G. Edward Griffin -- a 1982 deathbed confession from Norman Dodd. I had not seen it before so thanks for sharing. Not to be morbid, but deathbed confessions can be pretty insightful.

Have you ever seen the Aaron Russo tell-all after he was diagnosed with cancer? The interview was done by Alex Jones, who is actually an Epik.com client:

Skip to 19 minutes in for a fascinating insight.

Thing have been planned for decades but the implementation has been slow and steady that for most people it went by unnoticed by most casual observers.

1) it's obvious that building 7 can't have been falling caused by the 2 planes
I guess nobody actually believes that

2) it's obvious that
" war on terror " is a hoax
as you can't have a war on terror
it's impossible to fight "terror" with war

"terror" is not a really existing enemy but
the feeling caused by an unknown thread, an unknowable danger

so how can you have a war cure a feeling
causing even more fear

a little thinking and all intelligent people
knew that right from the start

so that's no news at all

so you know it all
now what you do??????

causing more fear
in talking about "S*atan"
and the evil that is all around you?

is that the solution?

I don't think so
new lies won't cure the effects of old lies

you need to change yourself
in order to change the world

spreading fear doesn't cure

No, it is the opposite:

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. - 1 John 4:18.

Look it up some time. Do I seem like a guy that has fear to you?

Sure thing.

This English is a bit old fashioned for your taste, but when it comes to fear, it is actually wisdom trying to do its work.

You have been pretty unkind to me in this thread. I have generally responded patiently and thoughtfully. You might disagree with me but I am actually right and trying to help.

I didn't mean to attack you as a human being
I just attack what you post here

so how can fear
heal?

---
beside that Christianity is based on fear

I don't believe a loving God want 's you to fear him ..
that idea was invented by the religious leaders as well
as the worldly leaders.

they want you to have fear,
so they can manipulate you easily
---

still
the question is:

how do you solve the issues
that you have pointed out to us

when there is an evil plan since ages
to enslave us all

what is the cure
for us as individuals?

or was the intention to create fear?
.. because you think fear will heal somehow...

The idea of "Godly Fear" is not the same idea as "terror" or "horror".

The point is that once someone realizes that there is an all-knowing, all-seeing and all-powerful Creator, who does not miss much, one realizes their actions and words are all on the record.

On the other hand, fallible man also has the benefit of "propitiation" -- the central idea of Jesus dying on the cross is that our sins, abundant as they are, were, and are, nailed to His cross.

There is the further idea of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, i.e. once someone is "born again", the holy spirit takes up residence and starts reinventing them from the inside out.

Here is a classic image that describes that:

thank you for taking the time
to explain it to me.

don't forget those images were most likely made
at a time where there was no knowledge of the human body
so its just an "idea"

it was not allowed ( by the church ) to investigate a dead body
before Michael Angelo, nobody dared to do so
he did
and got trouble

"fear" is a central point in our life

any idea that is meant to enhance or create fear
should be handled with care
chances are high
that you are being manipulated

God, of course, wouldn't want to manipulate you,
as he loves you unconditionally
so all those ideas are per se man-made

the idea of a "S+atan" is a perfect example

there are evil men / women living on that planet
you don't need "S+atan" for them to be selfish and cruel

Well, we all have to start somewhere -- at least he opened the cover! Unfortunately, temptation was waiting for him the moment he tried. That's not too far from the truth. Satan has to get someone to willfully sin in order to have authority over their life long enough to mess them up with chastisement or worse. If you want to understand temptation in the context of trouble-making women who will mess you up good, look up "Jezebel Spirit".

This quote reminds me of Hose 4:6 King James Bible

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Rob, which bible version do you usually read?

Historically I read mainly out of KJV. It is probably the most commonly cited translation. For modern English, a lot of respected Bible scholars like the ESV. Lately I have been using this one:

https://cepher.bible/

I believe it might be the most accurate translation plus it includes several books that were excluded from the Canon but are mighty helpful. Here is a promo code for saving 10%: EPIK

Fun random off topic fact: I'm an atheist but whenever I go to hotel rooms I leave money in the bible. Sometimes I leave an encouraging letter + money in the bible. I do it because I understand why someone would reach for a bible in a hotel room. The point is; this thread has gone on way too long.

I think that is pretty remarkable. Good on you. I think even Frank, with his story about a redhead barmaid, can appreciate that idea.

A CEO of a registrar and his recently departed employee give their time to answer any questions on a domain forum makes this thread a gem. Makes me wish I had more selfish time to spend here reading. Anyways it is up to domainers here to keep the conversations less combative and tolerant and maybe more insightful:)

That is an awesome thing to do...I don't travel as much as I used to but I may have to borrow that idea! :xf.smile:

this thread has gone on way too long.

Not for me...even the negative/attacking type posts can lead to some information or insight I had not been exposed to before...LONG LIVE this thread...thanks to Rob for taking time out his life to respond here.

Hi Frank - Although the Bible defines knowledge and wisdom differently, when I saw this meme this morning, I instantly thought of you!

Seriously though, we are all on a journey. If/ when you find yourself in a situation that you cannot solve by yourself, I am confident that you will recall some things discussed in this thread.

Speaking of the search for truth, it is probably not a secret that I am a vaccine minimalist.

As for people, yes, there are likely appropriate vaccines. However, definitely do your homework when it comes to vaccines as they are not without tradeoffs. For example, latest research shows that the highly promoted HPV vaccine significantly decreases fertility:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29889622

As for pets, our 2 dogs get the bare minimum of what the vets are required to administer. These dogs are never sick. Our friends with similar dog breeds who followed standard vet-recommended vaccination protocol are constantly taking their dogs to the vet for this or that weird symptom.

I fully grasp the case for herd immunity and certainly encourage folks who have communicable diseases to prevent spread of disease. On the other hand, the growing momentum for mandatory vaccination programs needs to be active combatted to prevent further manifestation of medical tyranny.

This is definitely crazytown:

Rob, did you come across the story of the two Italian researchers, Drs. Antonietta Gatti and Stefano Montanari who's office got raided by the police after their findings? If I remember correctly they were mandated with researching vaccines for the presence of nano pathologies. They discussed how the only vaccine free of that was a one for pets.

I can't remember the name of another research study years ago where vaccines were tested on dogs and changes to the immune system analyzed but was never repeated again. I will need to look for that again.

It is the sad state of mainstream media portraying vaccine discussion as good science vs "antivaxxers" without allowing any scientific discussion. I can't remember hearing any public announcements when vaccine recalls happen due to contamination or higher adverse reactions.

The Journey of the truthseeker shortly described:

Red Pill --> Black Pill --> "White Pill"

Low and behold, Dave Cullen recently had all his videos demonetized by YouTube. He migrated to BitChute.com, another Epik.com client that is building a leading YouTube alternative.

His most recent video is worth a watch:

Just seeing some of this now, but it is clearly not appropriate to make personal attacks . . .on anyone, especially spouses and neighbors. Not good civil discourse and leads to only more of this behavior.

Agreed here.

The interesting dynamic of the current online battle is the censorship strategy being increasingly deployed by left-leaning Big Tech. The rising anger being directed at right-leaning communities is actually approaching the point of becoming comical, i.e. some people are literally losing their minds!

Here is one thoughtful introspective from left-leaning Mother Jones:

https://www.motherjones.com/politic...young-conservatives-to-win-the-next-meme-war/

This graphic sums it up:

1zwubx.jpg

Yes, Trump has plenty of character flaws but the idea of people gathering for screaming sessions is comical to the point of tragic.

It is this same misguided ANTIFA nonsense that led some people to decide to leaflet my neighborhood, violating Federal statute in the process while also spreading defamatory misinfo.

I support lawful free speech for all -- conservative to liberal, and everything in between, and hope that the most compelling ideas can compete in a free, fair and open marketplace for hearts, minds and souls.
