I am a begginer and learning. Did I made a good decision or wrong decision? Any advice of senior of NP forum?

No Mistake, at your last bid price either one would have been a good buy. You stopped at the right time, dont get into a war. Pick you limit, and dont go past.

Good job as far as I am concerned, restraint, & research will help you be successful. Also, make sure you are not buying blacklisted names - see my signature, look up blacklist check tool and check your names - it's free.

Thanks for replying, yeh I checked both names in blacklisted lookup tool you mentioned and both names are clean. Its a wonderful website and I have noted it and I ll use it in future.
The GD appraisal tool show VirusControl.com has been sold in past for $1200. CupidOnline.com has no past history but I liked that name.
I m learning and reading and doing all my research regarding domains names and how this system works. Just need tips time to time from seniors.
Thanks

I agree with the others good decisions. You're showing really good restraint, which is sometimes needed in this industry.

Please feel free to DM me anytime if you'd like any input on any names or to simply discuss domaining in general. I'm far from the best domainer but I'm always willing to help out anyone.

Thank you Dave for replying. I bidded on these names on the last day of auction, so I was little confused. I will definitely DM you if I find any difficulty in future regarding domain names. Thanks :)

I think you quit around the right point. These domains are worth around low $XXX reseller IMO.

That is the investment range where the math makes sense as you will probably sell about 1-2% of these types a year if priced in a $2,500 - $5,000 price range.

I am not as expert as others who have provided responses, but I agree with their assessment that you stopped at about the right point. Yes they are nice names that may well sell to an end user in low $$$$ range but to allow for possibility they may not sell you generally want to get names at about 1/10 what you think they might sell for. There is a large ocean of possible names, so never feel that any name is essential to have in your portfolio. Best wishes for success. Your measured approach and seeking advice impresses me.

Depends on how long you want to wait. You generally wait longer with 2/3 words domains. You will be better off with reg fee domains at this early stage, unless you have big budget and long waiting time.

Any domain, before bidding set a target price +5% cushion. Never never get tempted on lot of bids or watchlist alerts , reminders or last minute bids.

Yesterday you didn't have that domain. Today you are not in a hurry to buy that. You buy only if the domain comes under your target. Otherwise you will be with few garbages costing your hard earned money.

Yes in your case your decision is right.

YOu stopped at the right point cuz you were uncomfortable paying more for it. Others would probably pay more for VirusControl as it's a really nice name and can easily be used for marketing by businesses on the radio..etc

"Visit us at VirusControl.com" When it sells, it'll sell in the mid X,XXX range..But the wait may be a while before it sells.

Just stick to what you're comfortable with and you won't regret it. Sometimes over spending just to get a name can cause you to be queasy...

And remember, there's always another domain available with just as much potential as the one u didn't win.

I need input on these names:
Cuzin.com stopped bid at $125
Okherbs.com stopped bid at $275
ikoyi.com stopped bid at $450 last night (still feel bad as I really needed that name)
