I'm wondering why GoDaddy & Dropcatch don't accept bitcoin. I think adding bitcoin will generate more revenue for them.

GoDaddy will unlikely start accepting bitcoin. Their business model is: automated rebills. For hosting, for domain renewals, etc. But there is no way to setup rebills with bitcoin...

I just saw on a site, they accept

  • Alipay
  • Bank Transfer
  • Credit Card
  • Check
  • Money Order
  • Paypal
  • Skrill
Correct me if I'm wrong, many of these payment methods don't have automated rebills.

I don't think the corporates would allow it for these 2 companies because of the volatility of holding them for any length of time.

Maybe @Joe Styler can enlighten us
Our payment methods differ according to the country you are in. We do not demand you have something on file that can be automatically billed so we do nor rule out Bitcoin because of that. It is something we have discussed but have not implemented at this time. As far as I know we do not have plans to implement it in the near future. I think it would be a great payment option but there are many things to consider with it besides just the volatility. I think the more options we can give people to pay the better but this is probably not going to happen soon with us.

Yes the volatility can be a big problem especially if payment takes a few days.

Please do not be late... Unlike new account view UI or another homepage "facelift", this would be a real innovation. Just look:

DirectNic
Epik
Gandi
NameCheap
NameSilo
Porkbun

- competitors are not sleeping. Above mentioned registrars already accept Bitcoin.
