Hello,

I was the owner of UFUN(dat)net

I bought it because UFUN(dat).com was sold over 100.000 dollars before.

Even on Estibot, the price of it shows $ 25,000 right now.

Anyways after i bought it, i listed the domain for sale on Afternic but noneone bought it for almost 2 years and i forgot the domain.

After 3 days ago, i checked the market value of my domain on Estibot and it was very suprisingly showing less than 100 dollars. It is strange because even the "org" version of the same domain is 1700 dollars on Estibot. And i had the "net" one which is better.

I couldnt understand exactly but i changed the price from 500 to 100 dollars. And on the same day it has sold. Someone from China bought it.

So what am i suppose to think now? Did i make a mistake or it was good sale?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I'd be happy with 100 bucks for that name.

Estibot appraisals mean nothing and saying the .Net is better than the .Org is merely your opinion and not necessarily the opinion of the masses.

I'd be happy with 100 bucks for that name.

Maybe i am wrong but why was that huge difference?
UFun(dat)com over 100.000 dollars ( Ok it is ".com" and i understand )
But
UFun(dat)org 1700 dollars
My domain, UFun(dat)net was showing less than 100 dollars, probably 15-20 dollars. What is the reason of this illogical diffrence between ".net" and ".org" ?

Don't take any notice of Estibot and other automated appraisal sites. The numbers they come up with are produced by algorithms and have no meaning in the real world.

You do understand that estibot is basic, meaningless AI, right? It's really bad. Godaddy appraisal is better and that's far from good too; can't imagine basing my decisions on its evaluation.

Let it go.

What is the domain name? ufun dot net or ufundat dot net World of difference.

Bottom line: it's a dot net so it's worth a lot less than the corresponding exact dot com. How much less? depends. There are dot coms I have personally sold for mid to high five figures where the corresponding dot net might not be worth a nickel. And forget about estibot, it was potentially meaningless when it told you the domain was worth whatever back then (if you even checked it, you write about having checked the dot com not the dot net back then) and estibot's potentially meaningless today when it tells you it is worth $100.

As far as ufun dot com it was sold for $24.5K in 2013.

Anyway, your ufun dot net is sold and gone. Obviously whoever bought it is going to try to sell it again for more, but you made your money you're done, so why worry now about what the other guy might make? If I were to guess I doubt he is going to make much, at best he'll someday perhaps sell it somewhere between 100 - 500, so nothing for you to think too deeply about.
