Hi,

I received an email today from Godaddy that Web.com filed an unauthorized transfer dispute in regard to one of my domain.

First, of all domain was never transfer.
Another godaddy user pushed the domain in my account.

This user who i bought the domain from is trusted Namepros member.

Another reason to stay away from Netsol/Web..com

Did this happen to any of you?

Here is an email from Godaddy.......

Dear Customer,

We are contacting you regarding XXXXXXXXXX.COM. We have received a notification from Web.com that the transfer to us was unauthorized. We are conducting an investigation and need the following from you:

1. A summary of how you came into possession of the domain name.
2. Any emails, receipts, or other documentation regarding this domain name you may have.

Please be aware we have locked the domain for the duration of this investigation. We look forward to your response.

Kind Regards,

I didnt know it was possible to push/pull a domain from one registrar to another. :xf.confused:

Did the domain come from netsol to you or from godaddy ?

If it was a godaddy to godaddy push, then godaddy should know all the details and can track the push without netsol.

Godaddy is contacting me that web.com notified them about unauthorized transfer. This domain never came from web.com or netsol. It was godaddy to godaddy account push.

This domain never came from web.com or netsol.

Edit: Just read the above post. OP got the joke.

It was godaddy to godaddy account push.

This might have been the case when you received the domain.

But have you checked WHOIS history to see if it was ever registered elsewhere.

The unauthorized transfer could have occurred well before the trusted nP member received the domain.

Exactly this name might have been at Web.com, stolen and changed hands many times, if they find it stolen then they are taking name back.

Are you sure the email actually came from GoDaddy? Wouldn't they use your name?

Email came from Godaddy. I check it and domain is currently locked pending dispute.

It means someone has reported the domain stolen at netsol, and netsol is following proper procedures, and contacting godaddy who is filing an investigation trying to source the domain. Maybe where the person who sold it to you got it.

Quick update.

I was able to contact the previous owner and he told me he purchased the domain on SEDO.com from Snapnames/web.com.

He signed a sale agreement and web.com provided him with an an authorization code. I was lucky enough to get a proof from him.

It is crazy how company this big can make such a baseless claim on an unauthorized transfer. These guys play games. Just keep that back of your head and be careful. I just increased the price by 50k for the domain so if web.com want this domain, they have to pay to get it.

I am transferring all my names from NetSol to Godaddy.

Thanks for your help guys.

Be safe.
