Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

It's not cheap if it's "$420", its meaningful and lucky :troll:

I have many of my names priced at $420. Of course, they aren't "Keith quality"

Kieth I'm with you and this hempsurfboard dude is nuts. Thanks for both understanding the future is not in a sale but effective use of our domains.

The hempsurf guy will rock it.

I always ask about the startup before I hold on price. If thier nice, I give them marketing advice on Leaf ( my niche ) and other comparables. At the same time assisting with TM advice and a positioning strategy.

Just yesturday guy called on a cbd domain. Gave advice on a TM, and the latest on the farm bill and its implications on horticulture patents in hemp. Hope he buys the domain.

Its what I feel one does when buying somthing for $8 and selling it for thousands. It's no easy sale.

That being said last two domains sold right off afternic for asking price :).

Some People here forget that thier is a enduser who uses a domain as part of a marketing package in a startup. And can easily be convinced ( more times than not ) too bypass a domain purchase and just use a .99 cent option on GD.

The hemp surf buyer was elated to get the domain. He sent me a pic of him crafting a board. Initially we agreed on a few bucks and a surf board but nothing to surf in Michigan. He was happy to do a paddle board :)

Thanks to all the posters in this thread...it is great to see all the creative juices flowing...helps get mine cranked! Although the state I currently live in is backwards and doesn't allow any medical use, much less recreational, there is no doubt the time will come. A name I will hold on to till that time comes and I can open my own shop(s) is...

Savvy / / Leaf

in the commercial extension

CBN Deals .(com)

Has anyone sold a Cbn domain?

I thought we got lucky on Cbd. Who knows mabey a whole other future category.

Although I'm sticking with Canna, Leaf, Cbd, Hemp and the like. I'd throw cbn in with the mushrooms. It's a long play. This industry is all so new.

It's the only one I have - not pushing the boat out on CBN, but I like the keyword "deals" which has been taken with CBD, hemp, leaf and canna

Only 2 CBN sales this year that have been reported on Namebio

Domain Price Date Venue
cbnpure.com 126 USD 2019-01-18 GoDaddy
cbnpod.com 221 USD 2019-01-04 GoDaddy

Some of the lesser known cannabinoids may eventually have their day in the sun, but highly (no pun) unlikely it'll be to the extent of cbd and thc. At least, not anytime in the near future, imo. Time will tell.

Too early to sell yet.

I've declined multiple solid $x,xxx offers for CBN OIL in 2019, and a couple big companies have expressed interest recently. Of course, this may be the best CBN name. I'm planning to hold for some years still (I've already owned it for ~4 years or so).

CBN is just recently starting to take off. There's still a lot of research to be done, but IF certain scientists are to be believed, it is showing a lot of potential.

According to these researchears, "THC and CBN can stop the growth of lung cancer cells in mice, and thus offer the promise of becoming new anti-lung-cancer agents in humans." (Interestingly enough, CBD didn't make the cut in their clinical trials.)

"Even though it is too early to claim that cannabis can cure cancer, this promising research result will be developed further through a phase of clinical trials in humans. We hope that we will find an effective treatment for lung cancer in the near future."

Of course this is according to one group of researchers- so take it with a grain of salt.

I have a serious question for anybody willing to answer. Seeing a lot of “Cana” names listed for sale. Why would anyone prefer a misspelling— particularly if it’s the first word? Will this trend ruin sales for Canna plus word holders who are asking for more? Any thoughts?

(Also seeing Can and Cann names)

Yes, there are a lot of "Cana" domains listed but are they being sold?

I believe don't believe serious end users will acquire them unless they have a budget for branding.

Believe people who register them might not really know the niche and or a buying them on F.O.M.O. (Fear Of Missing Out).

I can understand "Can" being used as I am a Canadian and it is a generic keyword..

Note: most of my "420" domains are on my "let expire list" except for the ones that I developed (even as affiliate sites redirects)

Just my thoughts ..
