It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

Randomly just found one more my domain which was also abnormally blocked by Afilias and also on May'1... just few days since its registration at Namecheap and parking at ParkingCrew...

So true idiotism by Afilias is going on...

I have asked NC to recheck ALL my domains and unblock ALL victims...

Overall, I already detected 9 blocked domains...
ALL are my recent registrations...
Looks that Afilias hates ParkingCrew... because no any other reasons.

I also informed ParkingCrew regarding this matter...

I just rechecked all my 220+ .PRO domains which are parked with Bodis - and none of them are blocked.
So looks that Afilias hates ParkingCrew definitely... and blocks those domains silently and continiously...

Also I didn't find any blocked domains with other registrars...
Only Namecheap domains are victims...

@ParkingCrew just confirmed that they investigate this issue and contacted Afilias to get the additional details...

Via Namecheap I have picked up some domain which was in my portfolio in 2017-2018 at 1and1... and parked it at @ParkingCrew as previously... Traffic on it is just a few visitors monthly...
After 1 week (!) it was blocked by Afilias (serverHold) and without any notification... I noticed it via WHOIS absolutely randomly...
Then after 5+ days since my ticket was started at NC - they replied that Afilias blocked it for spam (no comments, TRUE IDIOTISM).
As of now - I still on this issue... almost week already...

I recommend you to recheck ALL your domains in Afilias TLDs... especially under Namecheap...
As you see - they can be blocked silently and without any real reasons...
This is highly concerning. Please keep us posted if/when it is resolved.Edit I see you later posted that this one at least is resolved, which is good.

So looks that Namecheap is considered by Afilias as high-risk registrar... their domains are monitored very aggressively by Afilias...
Because I don't have any .PRO victims using another registrars... even if they are parked at ParkingCrew.
With NC - already 9 domains were blocked.

These negotiations are still pending between NC and Afilias...
And as I already know, Afilias is processing such requests from registrars very slowly... it takes ~week or even longer to unblock the domains...

That seems surprising as I monitor the Spamhaus registrar list regularly and only once recalled ever seeing NameCheap anywhere on it. For example today big names on it include GMO, NameSilo and Dynadot, I think registrars we all respect. When there are professional lists to identify real spammers I think Afilias should not take such a lazy and ineffective approach. To do so without notification on a domain without even mail activated is beyond ridiculous.

It is not only regarding spam...
There are various niches of irrelevant/illegal activity where domains can be used...

The lowest .PRO regfee is exactly at Namecheap for last ~2.5 years...
That's why they have the highest volume of "bad" .PROs...

I understand abuse related to cost, but that does not mean all registered there should be treated that way. There are organizations identifying malware, phishing, spam, etc bad actors by domain. Those lists should be used not taking a lazy aporoach of any at that registrar.

All those domains were blocked just within 1-2 weeks since registration at Namecheap.
I'm 99% sure that was no any investigation during this very short timeframe... they were blocked by Afilias automatically due to some idiotic algorithm.

I would tag Afilias for an official response but it seems they don't have a NP rep, or do they but not in list of representatives?

Afilias doesn't reply to registrants even if you contact them directly...
They serve only their accredited registrars... and very slowly.

As temporary workaround, from today I don't reg at Namecheap with ParkingCrew nameservers... changed my default NS to Bodis.

And no doubts, Afilias does the same regarding .info domains at Namecheap...
Automatically and silently...

Some kind of heuristic...
What exact factors are taken into account by their own software - we don't know...

If I recall correctly, in 2018 another domainer posted in this thread that he had the same blocks on the recent .PRO registrations at Name.com, and they were parked at ParkingCrew as well (according to my own WHOIS research).

Dear colleagues,
Do you know if somebody from NAME.COM registrar are here on this forum?
Was really shocked to see that some of my .PRO domains suddenly changed to ServerHold status :xf.smile:

Also please check your .PRO domains on Name.com registrar - maybe you have the same issue :xf.wink:
Found.

I had such case a few years ago... the domain was at PDR (ResellerClub) & @ParkingCrew nameservers.

So it is only a problem, at either place, depending on the parking service you use? I have some .me at NC and a few .pro at NameCOM, in all cases pointed to Undeveloped, and all seem to remain active.
