1**$ for a 1 word (.co) domain?

Either domainer selling thru network or registry held for higher price

wouldn't there be some kind of indication of ownership? its more like "buy it now! 1**, 29.99/yr" its value is also very low for a domain apprasial to be sold for such a high price.
I looked into a whois search and nothing, inactive, nothing found.

DomainIQ is pretty good at showing prior registration records. I would say if it's a decent one-word, not a verb in a weird tense, registered in 5+ extensions, it's quite unlikely it's never been registered. The .co registry did start holding back names last year and their premium pricing doesn't always seem to make sense, but I doubt prior history has anything to do with the pricing.

If the .com is developed and it's a decent word used by a few companies, $129 may not a bad investment. I've picked up a few decent ones that way (Diction, Chore, etc).

I have 1 word .cos and 4L .cos all listed for $1xx each on Afternic and the full network, so could go either way - unless never reg'd before like @Nametree said

Its a very credited word in its field, very bold.. nothing weird or too much and the .com being used is a valid website.
all the research points to a great investment especially the .co can be looked over with the industry its in.
I'm just confused with its pricing and if its such a steal then it should have been taken already but my gut is telling me to go for it

The .co registry has priced a bunch of their single word .co domain names, even some that are not a single word (but still premium) at a higher price point. Buy them at GD, Dynadot, Uni, any registrar, they're all around $120+ with $xx renewal. The domain name does not belong to anyone. I'd caution you to do your research when it comes to sellability of the domain names. Some are sellable, others are not.

That's where my confusion lies, what's with the pricing.. is it based off of the word itself or? Because it cannot be based off its appraisal.. it's being sold basically just as much as it's value which is low.. how does that add up or even look appealing, it is also more than 6 letters. Why wouldn't it be the basic 15$ or 20$ to register.
Im still researching to see if its a good investment in the long run

See if it's listed on afternic. Just a simple search on that site will tell you.

They are simply based on the .co registry's determination of which names are most valuable/premium. It doesn't matter what any other appraisal tool says. Doesn't matter the number of letters; if the word or phrase could be high-end, they're charging $120. They determine, not us. It's up to us to decide if we think the domain is worth the price tag.

Did that and nothing showed, so I guess its up for grabs.

Interesting how they're raising prices just like that, I guess it gives almost a false sense of importance or confidence that since it is already premium, it might be worth something.

I suggest you randomly pick niches generic products services industries you like and search for them in dot co. You might find their is more available you like for registration fee. Welcome new member.

I recently purchased BRAWL/co for $129 to test the .co market. Have done a lot of searches and that seemed to have been the best available. Decent renewal cost too if it doesn't sell.
