Those that are highly skilled and well educated don't have much of an incentive to immigrate, unless like you say, they have a well paying job lined up.

Those that are struggling because of oppression or other societal problems tend to have a fire under them that makes them thrive in free societies.

People from my country the immigrated to the US and Canada in the 70s and 80s from an oppressive communist regime were very hard working and that made them successful. I know that people from poor countries in Latin America are extremely hard working.

Agreed. My family came here about 100+ years before yours, but they also came to escape various bad circumstances. They too were grateful for the opportunity and worked hard to make a life here.

I live in Canada. There is a lot of immigration from countries that are refugees due to war and other endangerment to life.

Canada has stricter laws than the US. Still room for a lot of refugees in the WH plan. Just not millions.

Mark Morgan, the White House choice to lead Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said during a Fox News interview earlier this year that he can judge the likelihood that an unaccompanied minor will become a gang member by looking into that child's eyes.

“I’ve been to detention facilities where I’ve walked up to these individuals that are so-called minors, 17 or under,” Morgan said on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” in January. “I’ve looked at them and I’ve looked at their eyes, Tucker — and I’ve said that is a soon-to-be MS-13 gang member. It’s unequivocal.” https://www.politico.com/story/2019/05/16/mark-morgan-eyes-ice-director-1449570

I don't disagree with that. I've seen good hardworking people being deported, and others that are a drain on the social system allowed to stay. Unfortunately that's what we get when humans run the government.

No, you make yourself look extreme. So if you wife was raped and didn't want to carry the baby, you would advise her to carry it to full term. Alienated at the time of birth? What if she felt that way being pregnant for 9 months.

My wife and I have nearly the same views on abortion. My daughter does too. She's might be more conservative than I am.

My wife was adopted. Shy say's It's much better than being torn limb from limb and sold for parts.

For historic purposes. Somebody saying Virgin birth more realistic than evolution.
At least it will be a real quote, not made up like yesterday.

Context: Morgan was speaking about his time as an FBI agent dealing with 16 and 17 year old teenagers in detention. He wasn't talking about toddlers or grade school children.

The Muslim boogeyman is gonna ruin us

Even Ilhan Omar is against..
Once again Ilhan is using Taqiyya in her Tweet below, since in Islam, the fetus is believed to become a living soul after four months of gestation and abortion after that point is generally viewed as impermissible.

Ilhan is just happy that women in Ireland will now be able to legally kill more Christian babies, which is good news for the Religion of Peace...

Congratulations Ireland! This overwhelming repeal of the Abortion Ban is an important step in assuring women and girls are in the driver seat and have control over their lives and bodies!

With the permission of both parents, abortion is permitted in the first trimester if a physician determines that the pregnancy would cause harm to the mother's health or if the fetus has a serious, incurable physical or mental defect.

They also kill people for being gay but don't let that stop you from trolling and gas-lighting.

Women's Rights in.. Qatar
With the permission of both parents, abortion is permitted in the first trimester if a physician determines that the pregnancy would cause harm to the mother's health or if the fetus has a serious, incurable physical or mental defect. Qatari society is pro-natalist, and women are typically pressured by their families to have children. Women's reproductive rights are rarely discussed in public; issues such as rape and even non-marital sex are seldom addressed; there is little information available on how resulting pregnancies are handled.

Toronto Mayor Tory defends lapdance at “Drag Kids Brunch”

Mayor attends an LGBTQ Mother's Day event with drag queen lap dances in a book store on CHURCH STREET. Has the world gone mad?

Toronto Mayor John Tory couldn’t be more different from his predecessor, Rob Ford. Tory’s slick, patrician manner is the opposite of the folksy "man of the people" vibe that is the trademark of the Ford family.

Millions of Muslims in the US, how many gay people are killed by them...,,.

There was Mateen

While at Mariposa Elementary School, a third grade teacher wrote that Mateen was "very active ... constantly moving, verbally abusive, rude, aggressive ... much talk about violence & sex ... hands all over the place – on other children, in his mouth". In the seventh grade, Mateen was moved to a separate class with the purpose of avoiding "conflicts with other students" and suffered from poor scholarly performance due to "many instances of behavioral problems".[20]

A classmate at Mariposa said that Mateen was a bully, disrespectful to girls and acted like he was better than his classmates. Another classmate reported that Mateen was bullied at school because of his weight and his Afghan heritage. His parents were described as "dismissive" of his poor behavior while his father "had a reputation for being disrespectful of female teachers and dismissive of complaints about his son".[19] In 1999, while Mateen was in the eighth grade, his teacher sent a letter to his father regarding an "attitude and inability to show self-control".[20]

Mateen began his secondary education at Martin County High School in 2000, and at the age of 14 was expelled after being in a fight in math class, where he was briefly arrested without being handcuffed and charged with battery and disrupting school, though the charges were later dropped.[21][22] While a sophomore attending Spectrum, an alternative high school for students with behavioral issues, classmates told The Washington Post that Mateen cheered in support of the hijackers during the September 11 attacks and that he stated that Osama bin Laden was his uncle who taught him how to shoot AK-47s, all of this before knowing that bin Laden was the mastermind of the attacks.[19][20][23] After his outburst, Mateen's father arrived at the school to pick him up and slapped him in the face, with Mateen later being suspended for five days after the incident.[19][20] Soon after the September 11 attacks, "he shocked other students on his school bus by imitating an exploding plane", reported The New York Times.[24]

Guess it was all about Islam though

I don't even know what that means. Only person getting confused on quotes yesterday was you. A quote I posted from an article, you were getting confused again, thinking it was from me.

To abortion. Just trying to figure out where you stand. Recent rulings wanting to ban abortion, even in cases of rape and incest but ok when it's to save the life of the mother.

But if you feel abortion is murder, is this one case where murder is ok with you? A mother dying in childbirth is more of a natural thing. There are women in this world that don't have access to proper medical care and die giving birth. It's a natural thing. But if you choose to abort to save the life of the murder, under you definition, isn't that murder?

I will be attacked by fellow conservatives for saying this but so be it, this Alabama abortion ban is too restrictive. It doesn’t save life, it simply forces women into more dangerous methods, other states or countries. You don’t encourage life via blanket government mandate!

My family came here in 1864 from Ireland , they were in New York and migrated to Pennsylvania in the early 1900s, for the most part they were craftsmen and house wife’s, my great great grandmother moved to Oklahoma in 1903, she married a Cherokee Indian man, they lived on the Cherokee Indian reservation until 1927, had 4 children whom moved to various parts of Texas, with my great grandmother and grandfather moving to Dallas Tx from the west Texas cotton fields looking for a better life.

A lot of emigration from Ireland in the mid 1800's because of the famine - 1864 was a little bit later, but it must have taken a long time for the country to recover.

Most of mine came over around the same time or a little earlier but from Germany. One started a farm in PA, others practiced assorted trades, most settling in NYC. One branch came over a few decades later - just a mom and a 3 and a 5 year old. She was Lutheran, her husband's family was Catholic. They made her life hell so she took the kids and left to join several of her siblings who had come here earlier. A very bold move in those days!

(Interesting side note - one of her immigrant siblings' sons became a vice consul and later consul general (? not 100% on the title) in the US diplomatic corps, served through WWI, WWII, and around a decade after, first in Russia then in the far east. On Pearl Harbor day, he was supposed to have been on the first US ship that the Japanese captured! Fortunately, he was not.)

Irish and German immigrants both took a lot of crap from the "established" citizens back then.
