Here is the problem with advancd and why it is not the same with the other names you are comparing too:

c in front of consonant is pronounced as [k], so it becomes advankd.

While insurd, is kind of the way people say insured anyway: insur'd. Or develop'd.

I sold lift'd couple of years back for $xxxx, for example.
