While most of the domains I own have a business model behind them, about 5% of the domains I register serve another purpose. For example, here are two domains I registered today that are not for sale, but rather to promote a message or make a point;

1. BiasWarning i registered this domain for congressional action for a warning to consumers of news, books polls etc about the written/spoken WORD. Words matter folks, especially words that are written/spoken for profit. Here in America we have warnings on anything that might be hazardous to your health. Unfortunately, most of us are taught to believe everything we read as kids, but it's time we teach our kids like the actor Will Smith says, "Everyone is Prejudice" I'm making plans now to visit my representative in Congress Elaine Luria, to talk about legislation warning consumers about the written/spoken word.

2. SavorGod™ i registered this domain for those who believe there's a God, and more importantly for those who don't believe. This domain is not for sale, however if an experienced publisher is interested in publishing a not for profit magazine and/or developing a website I'm listening(y)

Anyone else do this sort of thing, like declare your love for life, your spouse, family, friend, dog or cat?

I acquired the first name .coms of my wife and kids. Those aren't for sale.

Do you have other superstition-related domain names? Astrology, witchcraft, etc?

My daughter's name in .com.au

Would be happy to exchange it for a .com though.

Wow! I'm amazed you were able to buy first name .coms for your whole family. I just checked for my first, middle and last names and all were long gone, and each valued by GD for about 20K. My middle name is Benjamin after my grandfather who was Jewish, and I saw where I could buy the domain Benjamin100(.)com because a "Benjamin" is considered a hundred dollar bill that has some sort of Jewish connotation? It's interesting that Cleveland is on a hundred dollar bill. I thought it might be Benjamin Franklin? I might just buy it in memory of "Pop Pop" who I loved as much as any kid could love his grandfather.

Thanks for chiming in, and God Bless you and your family(y)
