I am sure many of you saw this name MJDA.COM at Name.com expired auctions and like me tried to buy it many times only to get the same "error and call helpline message" after payment . I tried a few times again today as it was still in my checkout cart and same thing.

But checked it now...and its no longer available to buy....somebody picked it up and COINCIDENTALLY to the same person Teri Plummer that this very same situation happened to before with DVDY.COM about 3 years ago

I find it amazing that this same person got it again. I think somebody uncovered that DVDY.COM was a stolen domain so could it be the same with MJDA.COM?

What do you reckon?

So Name.com's system didn't work right; that doesn't mean anything other than the system didn't work right.

The thread you're referring to >> https://www.namepros.com/threads/dvdy-com-expired-name-com-but-not-purchasable.991670/

The winner of the DVDY expired name, @Bearded Goat, provided the below response(s) to the DVDY thread...

I got the domain by luck. I have only been paying attention to certain ext. from the expiring list but yesterday decided to take a look at the .coms because I had a bit more time, ordered them by oldest. This one was showing with a checkout next to it as if I already had chosen it. So I tried to checkout. It failed.

I wrote name.com and was given the exact same reply as many of you got. I went on about my business. Later, I went back into my account to do something, the domain was still in my cart. I figured I would try again before removing it, and I was successful. So no conspiracy, just strange luck. Shortly after I got the domain, name.com wrote me back and said they removed the hold but someone already registered the name... they must not have realized it was actually me.

I paid the price it was at the time the "hold" was removed. I have no idea why the hold was in place at the registry level but I have seen this many times with domains on their list. Any time you go to pay and the order fails, it is most likely due to a hold on the domain.
