Just coincidentally browsing through my UniRegistry market, deleting and adding some domains.

While doing a search, 4 of my domain names suddenly appears, in what looks to be 4 uncompleted inquiries?

I can't see any logical explanation to this. No received emails or notifications, and no information from the dashboard.

Offers ranging within mid $xxxx to mid $xxxxx

What the...

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
This has happened to me as well in the past. The explanation I was given was that all those offers were fake (don't remember the exact expression but that's what was implied).

This is slightly worrying. The one with an $15k offer, I did some extensive outbound marketing around that time.

Also inquiries on self-brokered names going straight to 'ignored' status, with no notification of an actual inquiry.

Well, contacted the broker on each inquiry. Lets see what happens. Some representative should come in and explain what's going on here.

I have started moving my domains from Uniregistry market. I smell fish in their platform. They may likely be killing sells (silently) without we knowing. Inquiries has been dry for my domains since January considering the type of domains I have. I have been suspecting issues with the marketplace. Last night, I decided to click on "Buy Now" buttons and to see what will happen. To my greatest disappointment, it was throwing error!

I made an inquiry on one of my own domains at uniregistry via a different email address. Also made an inquiry on someone else’s domain at uniregistry. In both cases I made the inquiries over a year ago and uniregistry brokers have followed up continuously ever since.

So, saying things like “they may likely be killing sells (silently)” is just more conspiracy theory nonsense.

However for whatever reason uniregistry doesn’t seem to be closing sales on domains like they used to. I list all of my domains at Afternic Sedo DomainAgents Uniregistry UNDeveloped plus via my own landing pages.

I sell well and gets lots of inquiries via my own landing pages and via Afternic Sedo DomainAgents. Uniregistry few inquiries no sales in some time. UNDeveloped definitely at the bottom of the totem pole with one ridiculous rock bottom offer only and no other inquiries less than zero closed sales at UNDeveloped. UNDeveloped should change its name to UNSold.

We have closed loads via undeveloped so we are happy with them so its the other way around for me afternic is always good.

Moved away from unireg a long time ago

We all have made such inquiries in the past and got followed as well. We are talking about recent time, not what happen in the past.

Again, the complains are mainly on self brokered domains and buy now option. They sure have serious problems on that marketplace. You are right about Undeveloped, seems buyers are no more finding the platform interesting to buy domains from. Or something is killing sells in their system too. The devil is always in the detail, in the form of bugs.

I’m certain that if you make an inquiry on any uniregistry marketplace domain today uniregistry brokers will follow up and hound you forever. Try it.

I think the problem is lack of people searching Uniregistry marketplace. Traffic must be down a lot.

Also I agree UNDeveloped marketplace has even less people searching domains even less traffic than Uniregistry marketplace.

I haven't heard sh** after contacting assigned brokers on each of those inquiries.

So tell me, how professional is this?

Did they fix an issue with too many outgoing emails automatically marked as spam on receiving end? I've seen customers complaining that they did not receive anything from uni brokerage... or that they found email in spam folder after some weeks. Many corporate email gateways. And also gmail (on various occasions).

Well that’s different from saying that if you sent an inquiry on a domain that uniregistry brokers would not follow up.

What you’re saying is that you can’t get hold of a uniregistry employee to discuss the status of a supposed inquiry on your own domain. That’s not good - I agree - but it’s not the same thing.

You may need to whitelist @ uniregistry. com in your spam filter... Uni definitely responded. But you did not receive anything. And you are not alone. Which is one of the reasons I stopped using their brokerage...

Edited: I meant if you contacted them as a buyer... If you contacted them about your domains forsale - then what you experienced is somewhat unusual

In my case, I have several (four) old inquiries that I haven't received any notifications on.

I have contacted broker on each case, asked for information, but haven't heard back on any of them.

@BrandsOpen ,

Thank you for the message. We appreciate the feedback. The BIN product is one where there are a lot of confused buyers who come to the landing page thinking they are signing up for a product or service or purchasing one. This creates a lot of invalid transactions.

In this particular case the buyer was you. I am guessing you have been testing out our BIN pages and created yourself four separate transactions. We will email each of them to you for your review. If you have any additional questions myself or a member of our team will be happy to help you out.

@dande

When testing our BIN product make sure you are not logged in as the seller of the account you are selling that specific domain for. I suggest if you use Chrome as your primary browser test it with Safari or FireFox. Our system does not like it when sellers try to buy their own names while logged into their accounts. That is probably why you got the error message. I have made this mistake myself.

Anything else please give me a call happy to discuss.

Have a great day!
