Hi,

I was wondering what happens if the buyer pays for the domain, then you push transfer it to his account, and then, when the buyer needs to confirm that they received the domain, they say they didn't receive it and asks for a refund.

What happens? can I get f'ed over?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Escrow would be able to check whois record changes to confirm the domain had been pushed and if they couldn't you would be able to show them all the screen shots and emails you had confirming the name had been transferred.

The whole point of Escrow is that things like that don't happen. If you're still concerned about this in future you can use escrow companies with holding accounts so the name goes via them.

I have heard about this scenario happening to some of the users here and it is quite rare and in the end it get resolved but it takes time. So push the domain only when the escrow.com gives you the instruction. You can provide proofs for successful push if any dispute arises and also they are well connected with most of the popular registrars so they can contact them. Nowadays If possible I stay away from escrow.com because they are very very slow wrt competition. I would recommend you to use undeveloped.com for smooth and quick transaction.

I want to add escrow as a payment option on my site, but is it worth it?
Will buyer have to to through a headache to send Id etc?

I think it is worthy to have Escrow.com as an option because of its inherent trust and credibility that is associated to it due to its name and so the buyers feel safe in using them. You should use Escrow.com as an option beside other escrow options. Let the buyer know beforehand about the hassle they will face if they opt to choose Escrow.com.
Yes, I think the buyers have to provide Ids. Here is the link for you.
