Finding keyword search volumes. What tools do you use?

I use to use Google adwords but now it seems very complicated. It's changed alot now. I think? or am I just looking in the wrong spot?

I use to be able to "fake" do a campaign and just see the search volumes for keywords.

now? you are forced to create a campaign now. annoying.

are there other reliable data options to find keyword search volumes? ummm FREE?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
You can do keyword research without creating a campaign.

Top right > Tools > Planning > Keyword Planner > Get Search Volume and Forecasts.

Also I've been using KWfinder which is free to use when signing up to DNAcademy.

I'm using paid plan of Mangools.com tools (KW Finder, SERP Watcher, SERP Checker, Link Miner, Site Profiler).
Very satisfied for all my SEO activities! Would recommend especially for website owners.

Edit: Sorry, just noticed OP question is about FREE tools :( Still, great tools.

I only use Keywords Everywhere, and Adwords Keyword planner.

Now I know that most of those tools mentioned above, are for SEO keyword research, but what if I want to invert the process and I want the tool to bring me competitive keyword recommendations based on metrics?

Let's say I set search volume, cpc, competition from a certain value to a certain value, and the tool brings me results from that spectrum. Now if that spectrum is too large, which is likely. I can add generic keywords, like "services" "solutions" "systems" "commercial" etc... so it isn't limited to only a certain niche/industry/keyword.

Does anybody know even remotely close feature like that?

Plus 1 for keywords everywhere if you don't have adwords spend.

Its not perfect but I think its prolly the best free estimates atm.

It's not free if you have to pay for DNAcademy. DNAcademy is not free is it?
