@Recons.Com Nice CVCV. I read about the king at Wikipedia now. He ordered a woman to be thrown out a window and then ran over her with his chariot. What a lovely guy. Hopefully the uber/lyft type company won't dig too deep into this king since his use of a vehicle won't make for very good publicity for a driving service. Probably better not to use him as a selling point for this domain. From Dictionary.com: "a king of Israel noted for his furious chariot attacks."

Definition of nice was different then ) Remember God destroying cities because of sins of few? Or flooding everything and restarting again? ) Bible raves about him, he was following the guidance of prophet Elijah, so he is a good guy )

Jehu's act was to honour the God of Israel since Jehoram's mother, Jezebel, had allowed pagan temples to exist in the kingdom (which is forbidden in the Law of Moses). The biblical account frequently invokes the "avenging the blood of Naboth",[7] whose vineyard Ahab, Jehoram's father, had taken by force.[8] Jehoram's defeat at Ramoth-Gilead gave them an opportunity to throw off his burdensome rule.

The destruction of the house of Ahab is commended by the author of 2 Kings as a form of divine punishment. Yahweh even rewards Jehu for his wilingness to perform this judgement by allowing four generations of kings to sit on the throne of Israel (2 Kings 10:30), and Jehoahaz, Jehoash, Jereboam II, Zachariah all descendants of Jehu ruled Israel for a total of 102 years (including the reign of Jehu). The prophet Hosea, though, writes that the house of Jehu was punished by God through the hands of the Assyrians for the bloodshed carried out by Jehu at Jezreel.[13]

Regarding his driving skills, he was cool chariot driver, supposedly top skilled ) so that translates well for deliver/ride thing )

Also, not only it is a fairly popular last names (thousands in the West, including France, Wales, England, Canada, USA), but a quite popular first name, ranks at 3005 for 2019 with 16,696 more babies named Jehu in 2019 already than in 2018. Not sure what happened and why the sudden rise. Regardless, there are hundreds of thousands boys/men named Jehu.

@Recons.Com Well... looks like you have a point. Though "furious chariot attacks" doesn't exactly sound very positive and that's from Dictionary.com. Anyway... It's a nice CVCV and hopefully it'll find a nice home. Good luck!

What distinguishes a great brand is possibility to put a meaning behind and you, as a brand owner, can spin the meaning in what it means to you and sell that point to everyone.

So, you could choose Jehu as a dictionary word for a cab driver, based on a guy who was a great chariot driver (for which being reckless is a great thing. You don't want a chariot driver, who signals his left/right turns and honks when approaching :-D). So, fo you Jehu is a top skilled driver and you make sure to hire the top guys. You dismiss the "reckless" meaning that many might used currently, as misunderstanding of the guy and his coolness. You also dismiss the bloodshed part, as it is pointless to apply moral standards of 21st century to 3000 years ago. By the way, in 21st century the most advanced democracy in the world is separating children from their parents, keeping them in cages and doesn't let parents know where they are, with few dying in the custody. It also lets millions of children live without insurance and basic medical care. And it lets pharma companies officially and legally make billions selling opiates and ruining millions of lives.

You could focus on him following his destiny as revealed to him by prophets, if you wish to, or just ignore that part.

It also makes for great story telling logo with a cool guy on a chariot or Ajax like head.

@Recons.Com I agree that with the right spin on things, a name can be branded in a positive way even if it has some negative connotations. Though in some cases (say Hitler) that might prove impossible. The good thing about Jehu is that whatever he did isn't something most people would know about without digging into it. I don't really know the context of this guy's actions. I just read a few tidbits that seemed negative especially in the context of driving and thought I'd mention it so you could assess the situation and perhaps tweak your strategy when you discuss it with potential buyers who might also google him and see some info that can be perceived as problematic. I hope to hear about a high $XX,XXX sale in the future. I would have asked a prophet about the fate of this domain but unfortunately those don't seem to be very active these days. At least not real ones.

@SuperBrander I am surprised that an expert like you is so focused on negative part. I assume you wouldn't like Sarah/com, because Sarah drove away Hagar, while she was pregnant with a child from her husband to near certain death to both, or Jesus/com because he wouldn't treat "dogs", i.e. non-Jews, or Eve/com, because she disobeyed God and we all lost the Paradise, or Noah/com because of him cursing his own son for minor incident, or Abraham/com because he almost cut throat of his own son. Even if Isaac survived, imagine the shock the child went through. By all means and counts, he should have been deprived of his parenting rights by social services or whatever it was called at the time. I imagine you'd hate to own David/com because David committed adultery with Uriah's wife and then had Uriah killed to cover up his crime. What about Solomon/com who took 700 wives and 300 concubines?

Good name. Passed on it (might have been outbid anyway) because it’s a very Isrealite sounding name, and also connected to religion.

Of course hebrew and the bible is a great source of words that are in very active use yet today. In swedish ”jehu” is actually used in a not very common expression: ”To drive/run around like a jehu” or ”he came like a jehu”. It’s basically meant to describe a moving person in some kind of frantic mode, and is not a positive label.

Good luck with it! Sorry if OT, back to acquisition reports!
