What are the .Art domains registered by namePros members here?
So Sad So True... Glad I was able to get dustie.art for 9.99. Guess it didn't figure into it's 3.5 million domains worth money. The funniest (and saddest) part of the whole thing is of course that most artists are soooooo poor.
it is not only premium it is premium renewal. That means you have to pay it each year.
In aporx. 1 year they will relase most of them.No logic here. 3.5 million word that including alomst foreign languge.
Very very stupid, they think will made big money like that LOL
In a year .ART only has just over 50K regs, and has 3.5M "premium" reserved domains.

It is a pretty bad launch IMO.
If they want more traction they need to remove the premium status from about 99% of their reserved domains.

I agree that it was a bad launch. However I don't think they need to remove premium status from 99% of their reserved domains. If they just priced them at 150.00 each they'd sell them, make a boat load of money, and for 30.00/pop renewals, continue to make a boatload of money! Even 1/10 of those premium domains at that would make them 45 Million Dollars and 9 Million Dollars a year every year thereafter (If the math is right...I never was very good with math.) I do think that would allow the original investor to recoup his 25 Million dollars just fine! And I don't think 150.00 is anything an artist can't afford, unless they are a pretty bad artist!
You've got moz.art, but settle for a subdomain in .tech? confused..My FAV is Moz.art
I settle for mo.zart.tech
But how many people happily buy domain names priced in that range, especially with so many other extensions to choose from ?If they just priced them at 150.00 each they'd sell them, make a boat load of money, and for 30.00/pop renewals, continue to make a boatload of money!
Until recently you didn't even know about the extension. Hurdle number one.And I don't think 150.00 is anything an artist can't afford, unless they are a pretty bad artist!
However, while it is a good extension for end users, it is currently not a good extension for domain investors.
