One of the fastest growing industries going is easily Solar Power.

The market for Solar Domains is maturing nicely right now and is poised to be a BIG ONE, what with multi-million dollar corporations buying in, not to mention with complete country and government backing. The sky seems to be the limit in this niche as the numbers being thrown around are big enough to desensitize an entire industry.

Solar Domain Names or Energy Domain Names are not exactly a secret, but a corner of the domain market that seems to be kept somewhat tight lipped throughout the purge for obvious reasons.

For those who have not yet begun to grab any solar power domain names, here are a few avenue's for you to look in to:

Consider the thousands of “Solar Installers” and “Solar Contractors” worldwide who could really benefit from a great “Solar Domain” or even the solar real estate business.

“Solar Clothing”, while seemingly insane to think about at first glance, is ticketed to become a very big and beneficial use of solar power, as is “Solar Transportation”, like cars, trains and planes.

One of the biggest innovations to have come along in Solar most recently is the newest 'Solar Spray' or Spray-On Solar'

Solar Power is also very geared towards geography so there will be value there as well.. but don't think for a minute that it's just the sunniest of places will be able to enjoy the benefits of Solar. A few strong solar domains in the right geographical location can be well worth the investment in the very near future.

Here are some of the Solar Names i have been lucky enough to scoop up along the way. Some i am very excited about.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
More important, what is the roi for that $2.9 trillion investment (ecological benefits aside).

ROI is long term in any renewable energy resources (solar, wind, etc). Apart from Eco benefits as you stated above, the other important benefit is once it's fully operational the running cost is only 10% of non-renewable sources.

I am aware of the potential of solar energy, but imo, the solar industry needs to provide a level of performance that will help provide sufficient incentive for buyers to pay up for related domains. That hasn't happened in years and isn't happening now.

The money needs to flow. Crypto-currency is a case in point (to an extreme).

For those interested in solar related domain asset evaluations, you might find the evaluation done today on a single-word ("Solar" + ccTLD) interesting.
Asset Type:
Dictionary-Word / Renewable-Energy
Note: There appears to be a demand growing for solar powered AI so they can recharge and function without needing to be plugged into shore-power.
Note: I'll be putting more consideration on the revenue model concept of converting or adding solar power to an existing robot or droid based on the average cost of solar conversion in general. Service fee's and other rates may differ due to complexity with a robot or droid, so this revenue example is being modest (Per installation).
The hard part is identifying the potential end-user, gathering more research on their specific niche, formulating a presentation, negotiating, and closing.

The reseller value on this asset is fairly low, because it has no liquidity in a reseller market to the naked eye and you have to do the leg work to find the right buyer and apply the hard parts I mentioned above, which in most cases, investors fail at...

The reseller market for this asset will be invisible to naked eye. The lack of sales reports for the combination indicates that already. So reseller value is going to be lower for your average investor looking to re-flip an aftermarket asset.
