Cloudflare now a registrar - $8.03 for .com

Cloudflare, a pretty reputable network services company IMHO, is now a domain registrar.

Now we all know the old chestnut about don't host/do other "bidness" with your registrar, because if they get annoyed with you on the hosting side, they have your domains...

Well we can reg. new for less than that, but the Cloudflare price is looking good for renewals.

They've been doing this a while now. They don't put any mark up on their registration or renewal prices. Sounds good to me. Thinking about moving to them if they keep a good reputation.

Don’t see how they may go below eight dollars for renewals as far as standard pricing. That’s cost no profit in that price.

People think it’s easy to get below eight but that’s for initial regs not renewals.

Plus once you have all your domains in one place you may negotiate a deal close to eight dollars for all renewals anyway, as I’ve done - and, it takes a year of renewal per domain just to move which is a lot if you have over a thousand or two thousand domains.

Some domainers seem to think they're entitled to below cost regs and renewals. That will never be a sustainable business model.
