A "keyword+up" .ca sold last year for $225, as per Namebio. Yours is better.

Can you counter?

I have been back and forth with a buyer. I had

Leaves.ca listed for $1,500 USD on Efty which i think is low and used it as a buy it now.

Offer was $880 USD I declined and stayed my ground, counter was "I did several independent appraisals for the domain, and found that the market place is lower than your ask" and offered $1,500 CAD "this is well above the appraisals i received"

opinions? I know it's close to what i was asking, but I think my asking was below market value on the domain in my opinion?

thanx Dan

I have two... leafit(dot)ca and leafit(dot)com

I have had multiple offers on them especially since leafit(dot)org came out.

Anything leaf is hot and my price on the .ca is 5k CAD with 12k USD on the .com

I NEVER sell below 1k and I would stand firm on the 1.5k if I was you.

Was just taking a peek at the list and noticed h0t.ca. Be careful if you're copying and pasting.

It's not an LLL.ca, it's an LNL.ca (h-ZERO-t)

When for sale it will be marketed as H0T.ca :xf.laugh:

PS. If you have to ask.... you don't get it :xf.rolleyes:

I just wondered if all Registrars are maintaining orders from last week, or if they're starting over from scratch? The ones I use are keeping the old orders as-in and then adding in the new ones on-top.

I personally have no issues with any of my orders, but for mid-range domains, having 20K in domains crapped out on the TBR means that many of these non-premiums will not be worth the amount you bid last week, at least in relative terms. The reason is that there are a finite number of TBR servers, yet due to incompetence, we now have more than double the domains available.

I am referring to the low to mid-range/semi-premium orders that will not go to auction, but were still bid up to $50, $100, $150, etc. And due to the CIRA double-downing of sheer quantities, it might make it easier and cheaper to grab these non-auction domains this week, compared to the potential value you placed on it last week.

And that's not even broaching the subject of last week's orders competing directly against this week's orders, and if you want the new .CAs more, they'll need to be bid higher to get a better server slot.

Like if I bid lots of money on YYYYY.CA last week, but after yet another CIRA snafu, I now want ZZZZZ.CA even more, I would need to bid a higher-than-YYYYY.CA $$ amount to get the new order placed above the old one. Rinse and repeat for about 100+ semi-premium domains that hit the TBR this week. :xf.eek:

It's kind of insane when you think about it, and CIRA cancelling last week's run has created a lot of repercussions for domain investors and businesses. There are probably domainers out there with 50-100 orders at each Registrar trying to figure it all out using a spreadsheet. :coffee:

I had a bid placed for 75.ca last week and I see that Siber has carried it forward to this week with my original start bid in there.
If I didn’t want the bid in I would email them and they would remove it or any others.

I don’t have a problem with that but I certainly do see your point. I t could get messy.
Fortunately, for me at least, last weeks TBR list didn’t prompt me to try for many names.

Same here, but just imagine some poor guy with 100 orders through multiple Registrars - these run cancellations and resultant "double-down" weeks must be a nightmare.

took couple low offers on gd.. and sold these below...
i have such low expectations for .ca handregs that bit of profit on these now.. is better than years of renewals with no sale guarantees in the end...

teamup $150
crypto investments $140

I would have wanted more for teamup, but now you have money for tomorrow's TBR!

I don't buy crypto names so I have no idea of the value, but if you have cash in hand it's all good.

Congrats!!

well teamup is just a recent handreg... its not like I paid $100 for it ;)

I did own some decent cryptor names over past couple years.. which cost money to reg.. and I never had sales ... probably not even offers.. so this is good sale to me to get my money back plus minus...

I'm careful about handregs in .ca .... like most here I made my share of them.. and they rarely end up in a sale..

.ca is not really easy to sell. especially for handregs... but I guess this is why you get tons of drops all the time.. everything just get recycled.. and some good names too.. with a lot of other tlds taken etc.

So anyone got their Top 10 Picks to share?

In no particular order:
75
Addiction

Ams

Helios
Gambler

Humid
Chorus

Those are the ones that stood out to me. Who the hell drops beef anyway?
With the volume and the uptick in quality, there's plenty for everyone. Lots of midrange stuff. Won't say anymore, cause I'm trying to get some.

Ignoring the prices for a minute, would anyone ever buy one of these.
I can't get the number I want so let me add a zero in front.
I mean this is not like buying a personal license plate is it? :xf.laugh:

In the real world how would you actually use one of those?

No, those leading-zero .CA numerics are impossible to sell, as they make no sense for numbers, addresses, etc. and the Chinese buyers (who may look for lucky numbers) are not able to freely buy .CA domains.

I'm not sure if this guy just bought them all, but there were several 0NN.ca domains available for reg cost.

This is going to be a crazy freaking week on the TBR as with all orders staying from last week's fiasco, the premium .CAs are Post-Registration Auction right across the board, and it will be interesting to see how high these auctions go with 2X the supply this week.

It's like a car crash that I just can't look away from - thanks CIRA!

The only thing better would be for the MyID and Sibername shared-server hub to have a power outage, and the CIRA deciding to rerun 3 week's worth of domains.

The squeaky wheel certainly gets the grease, and here is my visual image of MyID and Sibername pleading with the CIRA about the missing contact data, and to rerun the TBR:
