I had won a domain auction 2 weeks back. The domain was supposed to be added to my account on.

Called tech support, it seems like we need higher level support that is only accessible via e-mail for auctions support. The domain phone tech although acknowledged that the domain was to be added to my account, but was stuck in the process.

I figured i'll e-mail the auctions @ godaddy team. I received a response after 3 days that it was stuck but has been added. I checked, still no domain in my account. I figured it could be that it takes a day to show up, but it's been about 5 days now.

I sent another request yesterday, but have not received a response yet.

I recommend everyone to check their accounts to ensure that the domains that you buy or win in auctions or bargain bin actually get added to your account. I don't want to think nefarious, but it seems like this

What type of auction was it? over 2 weeks & no solution, thus bad @Joe Styler

Sometimes, it happens with expired auctions where names not registered at GD are renewed e.g. owner can renew name at TUCOWS after the expired auction, in that case GD processes a refund within a few days.

It is hard to say without knowing the details. We do audit names to make sure they are moved so it would be caught at some point. There are many variables depending on where the domain is coming from us or another registrar, what the tld is, cctlds have certain requirements, etc.

Hello Joe, thanks for the reply. I've received e-mails stating that the domain has been added to my account. The domain is a .co, estimated delivery date was 4/2. I had also received "Your domain transfer is complete. The following domains have been transferred to your account" e-mail a week ago.
Ticket numbers:
38719058
38734460

@tldboss it is a expired domain auction, .co extension.

yes .co domains are often harder for us to move and take longer. Both of those tickets have been escalated to the development team to fix. It looks like they are moving in the right direction.

Hi Joe, thanks for the reply and looking in to this. It's extremely frustrating not knowing if Godaddy dates are accurate or just a random made up guesstimate, if the domain that I've already won in an auction, and paid for, is actually mine or it's still a risk.

It's been 10 days today since the Delivery date. As the domain and related web services community, you must understand we have to move fast and build upon trust, there's a reason why we use Escrow, accept offers, have agents - it is to assure trust for buyers and sellers as a whole community.

Here's a screenshot of the domain from my dashboard-
upload_2019-4-12_16-49-49.png

It clearly states, that it was purchased on -
2019/03/25

It shows Godaddy Stated Expired domain ready on:
2019/04/02

Today's date is
2019/04/12

I have a whole set of processes delayed due to domain delivery date. We have already used domain in marketing / branding / cards so we can't change it now. On top of that, every day Godaddy delays is adding additional sunk cost each day it delays as we have marketing team and developers who can't really do anything unless we get Nameserver access for my domain.

Please check into this the earliest and rectify this situation or give us a clear response if Godaddy can't deliver.

@tldboss how many times have you seen this happen before? is it common to expect non-delivery for purchased domain in an auction from Godaddy?

It is common for a .co domain to get stuck, but stuck domains do get audited and fixed. That does not mean that they get stuck each time you win but they do get stuck from time to time.
It looks like the incidents you sent in were resolved a couple days ago with the domain active in your account. Sorry for the delay.

Hello Joe, thank you for looking into this, this problem was sorted out and i have received access to the domain. It was very frustrating but we are finally happy to move on and put the domain to use rightaway! Thanks again, have a great week
