I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
And it's very interesting that both MyID and Sibername had the exact same "contact field" problem adhering to the CIRA regulations, while everyone else did not - really makes you wonder if MyID and Siber have joined forces to truly game the system using the same software and algorithms?

If 2 companies with this much CIRA influence and server resources actually joined forces, it would be easy to make sure that their combined efforts resulted in them winning 90%+ of the top premium domains.

Otherwise, what are the odds that the 2 powerhouses of TBR both had the *exact* same technical issue, yet no one else did. :xf.wink:

I don't think the two of them are working together, if anything I'd guess they are mortal enemies. If they were together, I'd probably expect more of the same shenanigans at Siber that we see at myid.

A lot of "mortal enemies" collude in certain areas if it makes them more money.

Look at all the price-fixing and illegal business deals we see between 'supposedly" harsh competitors - truckloads of money make for strange bed fellows.

Unless of course its a monopoly run by a gov't organization that has no apparent accountability or transparency. Then you're stuck using them whether you like it or not, right CIRA?

That's the problem, as if this was private industry, the entire lot of them would have been fired ages ago.

But instead, they all have the "I was born entitled to a lifetime job" mentality, and have no fear of reprisal for constantly doing insane things like cancelling the entire TBR run (and taking back domains) just because MyID and Sibername misconfigured their systems contrary to CIRA requirements, and then whined like babies for Mommy CIRA to clear it up and start over.

I just cannot believe that an actual business entity thinks it's perfectly fine to constantly "just do the TBR run over" every time there is a problem, especially one that was the fault of MyID and Sibername. It's pure idiocy at its best and "government thinking"at its worst. Not to mention clearly demonstrating which Registrars are *really* pulling the strings at the CIRA.

You pull this insanity in the real world (even once) and you're looking for a new job, but at the CIRA it probably gets you promoted.

So 75.ca now shows 750 high bid and 7 days under time left at Siber.
I contacted support so I assume this is pre-emptive to them removing it all together as there is they can’t assume they will even get it next week.

Oddly enough I usually hear back from them fairly quickly but nothing for hours now.

they can’t assume they will even get it next week.

That depends on how fixed the CIRA TBR system is.

Plus, if Sibername doesn't get 75.ca next week, they can always concoct another "technical error" and get the CIRA to re-run it one more time.

Shoot, just keep re-running it until you get all the premium names - why not?

They're still running all of them. I'll bid $50 million if you bid $51 million and lets see what happens.😁

I know exactly what will happen, CIRA will get a call on the "red phone", the WHOIS will suddenly change, and one of you will owe Sibername $51 million.

Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat of missing domains in your account? Does anyone have a domain that was paid for and not renewed by a certain register? I lost a domain i paid for that has now been auctioned off on the cira TBR.

So far i have not much responce from CIRA other then they have no responce from the register.

We might need to know the Registrar.

It was at myid, and no responce from them in weeks about it.

LOL, I think we could have all hit that bulls-eye in one guess.

My recommendation is to get ahold of the CIRA via phone and let them know your complaint.

Have fun looking for hidden gems this week boys, cuz I refuse to touch the TBcRap-list when it's in this condition- easy it'll surpass 20K again and it's just unmanageable at that idiotic size.

But hey, odds are that Siber or MyID will get 75.ca and they won't make the CIRA re-run it again, so I'll likely be back next week.

I don't blame you. Enjoy your week off

Does anyone have their own marketplace that I can add some of my .ca's to? PM me with details please.

Or alternatively you can go to www.domainportfolio.ca and pick any of the names there to list on your own marketplace. We can discuss commission in PM. Thx.
