Now that NameBio removed the erroneous .de entries (see above) the least expensive short one seems to be k.ag that sold for $190 in 2007.

On the face it sounds very good. Over past 5 yr single character country code domain sales have averaged $6500 (NameBio data).

Thanks. These number is interesting since it exactly matches my calculated "current sales value" until 2018. But still hope an .ie with a "b" would be a little bit above this numbers :D

Tbh, I don't think idn's should truly count as "shortest domains" though. They have to be converted to punycode to resolve, therefore eliminating any "shortness" because of how they display in the url bar. And unless you copy/paste, or have an emoji/symbol based keyboard, you have to literally type out the entire punycode.
