discuss Political Domains and Events

Recent political events got me to thinking about political slogans, marketing/advertising and domains. While I don't own a lot of political domains, I have been accumulating a small portfolio of political domains. Thus I just registered Political.Domains with the thought of a place on the web to showcase political domains.

I know when I started accumulating a small portfolio of MAGA (Make America Great Again) domains, I started a thread to discuss the idea resulting in both positive and negative feedback. In recent days due to recent events involving US politics, I hand registered Witchgate(.)com and Charadegate(.)com inspired by Watergate(.)com

Another reason I registered Political.Domains is that I've learned that in each political cycle tens of millions of viewers can be impacted by political advertising. Also, a friend of mine from NP who like me was a "Never Trumper" accumulated about a hundred domains like VetsAgainstTrump", "RetireesAgainstTrump" 'RangersAgainstTrump', "SealsAgainstTrump" etc. I'm not sure if he ever made any money from his portfolio, but like me I'm not sure if he knew how or where to market/sell his domains.

What I've learned from other NP members is that political domains have a much shorter shelf life than your typical domain so one must take that into consideration.

I'm actually a former "Never Trumper" whose "MAGA" portfolio just increased in value, but now if I could talk a developer/techie into being an equity partner maybe there will be a place to showcase political domains for the world to see.

Good point. I suppose there are those who agree with Free Speech who are too busy making money and working that dont get mixed up in any of this. Being true Capitalists, they dont have time to debate nonsense of belief systems, and logically stay away.

The moderate in my dna tells me there's room for compromise when it comes to healthcare thus, HealthcareCompromise(.)com. My thought is the gov't could provide catastrophic coverage for everyone including those with pre-existing conditions. And maybe the deductibles could vary depending on economic status. Regardless, I think we can do better than Obomacare, but we do need compromise.

States have Medicaid and their own programs. In CA there were always County Hospitals that serve the elderly, the disabled and the poor. The Federal Govt does a poor job of managing anything it touches, it becomes bloated and top heavy. Look at how costly the stupid software project of the Obamanightmare website itself was mismanaged with cost over runs.

There are several city+mayor.com and city+citycouncil.com available to register. Please register and forward to your local Republican office...

(I guarantee some pissed off liberal will begin searching for available names to prevent this from happening)

Thanks, but I'm more interested in National political domains. Healthcare will be such a huge issue in 2020, I think names like; HealthcareCompromise and CatastrophicHealthcare have potential.

Unfortunately I don't think most political domains have a shelf life long enough to support a nTLD. This said however, I did just pick up a idiom domain that's timely, but most likely short lived: JoesTouchandGo(.)com. This domain would be for Joe Biden's opponent(s) should he decide to run for President. It appears Joe has a problem inappropriately touching women. In case his candidacy doesn't work out, he might want this domain for starting a massage clinic

With political domains one can go positive, negative or neutral (issue). Neutral ones may represent opportunities for longer term use that are not only political in nature. The balance of worth of positive and negative names probably depends on the country that one is considering. I suspect few names are as difficult to appraise in value as political domains.

I believe you're right Bob...i own a few, the best one I think is IconicTrump(.)com. As a former "never Trump", guy I've changed, and it's starting to look as though IconicTrump and WitchGate may have some serious potential. I've already sent info to the Trump campaign "2020" about IconicTrump, but I need to package the two names and try to get them in front of some of his supporters
