Hi everybody!

I'm Macit, co-founder of dofo.

I am very excited to announce that we have launched dofo.com as beta.
Dofo gets all the information you need on domain names, which is quick, easy, and free.

Our engineers go through the Internet with unique algorithms they develop, and provide you with tons of data on more than 330 million domain names, in a truly clear way. We aim to democratize the way people access domain name data and let you discover the Internet freely. Just as it should be!
dofo-home.jpg

You can search in all domain names:
For example just type "online" and see how many domain names contain "online".

There are tons of filters you can use:

Domain Filters
Keyword filter: contains, starts with, ends with, not contains, exact.
Extension filter: more than 1250 extensions.
Length filter: filter domain names by character length (1-63).
Hyphen filter: Do you want to see the domains include hyphens, or exclude hyphens or don't care?
Number filter: Must include, Exclude, May include (all).
Letter filter: Must include, Exclude, May include (all).
IDN filter: Must be, Exclude, Maybe (all).

Sale Filters
On sale filter
: Yes, No, Maybe.
Price filter: $1 to $100,000+.
Sale type filter: Buy now, Offer, Offer with buy now, Bid
Marketplace filter: Afternic, Godaddy, Namejet, Snapnames

Whois Filters
Create date filter
: Filter domain names by create date (1985 to today).
Registrar filter: Filter domain names by registrar company.
Registrant email filter: Filter domain names by registrant email address.
Registrant name filter: Filter domain names by registrant name.
Registrant country filter: Filter domain names by registrant country.

dofo-advanced-search-page.jpg

You can see all the information about a domain name:
  • whois
  • whois history
  • sale info
  • sale history
  • dispute history
  • website status
Check example.domain as a sample or enter any domain name.

Reverse Whois
You can see all the domain names owned by an email address. You can also look at these statistics about that registrant: extension, keyword, language, length and registrar statistics.

Example: https://dofo.com/registrant/[email protected]

Roadmap
This is our plan for near future:
  • Make user interface multilingual & add at least 10 languages
  • Add trends pages
  • Add domain extension pages
  • Add registrar pages
  • Add user login feature
  • Add domain follow feature
  • Implement a more powerful Domain Name Language Detection (DNLD) algorithm
  • Implement a smarter "Similar Domain Names" algorithm
  • Create a mobile app

Currently, not all whois history we have shown on dofo.com. We will add billions of whois history data soon. ccTLD's are also not shown yet, but we will start to show them in a few weeks. After GDPR, we may remove the reverse whois and registrant information based features.

Note that: dofo is currently in beta. We are actively developing it. There are lots of bugs we are working on. We are releasing a new version every week.

Please share your comments and feedbacks. We examine any feedback of yours with utmost curiosity and definitely get back to you.

Thanks.

on behalf of dofo team,
Macit

Price filter as well as domain length filters need ad hoc inputs so that you don't always have to use the sliding bar, this way we can be more specific with our value ranges.

Also, being able to filer names by advertising category would be extremely useful.

We will add the length/price filter as text input and you can enter the values.

I couldn't understand the second sentence "being able to..." What do you mean?

Thanks.

Being able to filter domains by advertising category for example if I only want to see 16 Letter domains categorized as " Internet and Telecom " registered between January 1st 1985 and December 31st 2010 and priced between $3500 and $7000 I should be able to do that.

Understood. (y) We don't have the categories filter yet but we can add it soon.

Hi again everybody.

We will launch the new version of dofo.com in a few days, but I want to share it with you now: dofo.com

We re-designed the UI, added several new features, did new partnerships and combined ten more marketplaces data.

There are still some bugs, missing features, and known issues.

Please share your feedback with me! :xf.wink:

We just launched the new version of dofo.com

We are also featured on Producthunt: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/dofo-com

Waiting for your comments and support :xf.wink:

Not working for me

I typed in red.com and then clicked available extensions and a ton of them that show available are taken.
I follow your link it takes me to godaddy and says taken when your site shows available.

I did this with several domains and the same results.

Hello, nice tool. I am in Portugal in a business trip and I do not know if it is the hotel wi-fi, but the results are loading so slow...

I saw this problem in the first page of this thread as well. Is there an ETA on a fix for this ?
Otherwise, great tool.

Thanks,
Cristian

Macit, are there still issues ?

I tried a query with a starting and an ending string, but it looks like they are both ignored.

After typing string into filter you need to press "Enter", so that string becomes selected as filter option. Then you click on Search button. I had same doubts at first. Hope it helps.

Important thing to improve: if "seller asking price" is set up at Sedo, then Dofo will show it as BIN price while it is not. Domains with specified seller asking prices are always "make offer" rather than BINs.

Yes I found that super annoying.

Thanks for your message. Yes, we have been aware of that for a while and trying to solve it with Sedo (we do not alter any data, it comes directly from Sedo). I think it will be solved in a week.

As you might know, there are some restrictions on ccTLDs, but we do our best to cover all of them. I checked the domain name, you're right. Our team is working hard to find a better way to include all ccTLDs, as soon as they are registered.

Please share any feedback with me or @Kemal G , Dofo's product manager.
