Not getting a lot of information from Namebio and it seems to run the gambit. I see mobi, io, co, etc as the usual suspects, and a lot of .global because of the dedicated registry/marketplace (I assume) but anyone care to comment?

I have TRANSLATE.CODES (because the SLD and TLD are both exact match keywords and heavily searched) but I don't think I've seen any .codes that have sold. Then again, I think there's a lot sold that doesn't make it's way to the public.

Thanks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.global mainly sold because of registry cold calling/spams to people on similar names.

These are DIRECT gTLDs. Personally think that it will take time to be adapted by community. In terms of usage - it will be more popular because of transparency.

I have ECONOMIC.ENERGY
Its a single two word address and can be combined with matching words to create attractive and professional address.

.COM or .NET etc will be used but as it is internet evolving everyday, new gTLDs will take the lead eventually :)

The ones where the left of the dot makes perfect sense with the right of the dot.

Examples:

Send.money
Save.money
Transfer.money
Home.loans
Vacation.rentals
The.world

Cheers

The most likely to sell new tlds are the ones which the registry owns. (registry reserved)

But based on those registry sales investors have now registered perhaps 15 to 20 million new domains hoping to sell them at a profit. At a 1% sales ratio that would equate to thousands of aftermarket sales every week. Even if only a third were reported one would still expect 1000 new tld domain sales in Namebio every week.

Register good names and add them landing pages and market places. That’s it. ;)

Personally, I’ve sold 5 new gTLDs since new year. $300 - $3000 per each.

Ask yourself this: "Who would buy TRANSLATE.CODES" and what would they do with it ?"

Don't buy a ngtld just because it seems kind of clever. Buy it because you can see real buyers and uses.

Translatecodes.com is currently available. That pretty much sums things up. The keyword and extension are good separately, but not combined.

For a start the popular keyword that are taken in com net org info.
Then the extensions with enough first keywords to support the extension.
