Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

Low credibility or what???

Regarding Undeveloped escrow...
I already had 3 failed sales there in 2019... or just 1 of 4 sales has finished successfully.
After negotiations (even after long negotiations) when transaction was started - 3 buyers disappeared.

This is a problem (for me at least) at any marketplace. The best thing these marketplaces can do is take a down payment for each offer which would be lost if the buyer walks OR at the very least, do some sort of email and telephone verification for offers. Yes, that would slow things down but trust me - it would weed out people who make crazy offers because perhaps they're just angry that you have the domain they want and they dont have it. I've had that happen to me quite often, getting cursed at by potential buyers because I seem to have purchased a domain 19 years ago when they were probably still wetting their diapers. But I digress.... point is, some sort of verification could help squelch these fake offers. IMO.

I'm talking about DIRECT deals/negotiations... when domains are NOT listed/parked on marketplaces...
I use them just as final escrow step...

Lol. True. Undeveloped travels to Ibiza on Weekends

Holey shiz, is it that hard to believe that normal people, including domain escrow employees, don't work on weekends!?

It blows my mind how ppl don't seem to assume that UD is not an ai bot that works 24/7

what do you mean direct negotiations? people email you or parked page sale lander or what?

surely you must have all your names listed on all markets anyway

either way... you can try what I recommended.. to put dns for all your names to undeveloped...
then you will get more sales and appreciate the way they handle sales.

like everyone else appreciates them. no offence, but you are basically the only person complaining about undev on this thread :)

It was already answered by me 100 times in various threads including this one.
Since 2015 I don't use any marketplaces... and I'm happy.
I just need GOOD escrow.

Yes, buyers contact me via WHOIS email (rarely)... or via ParkingCrew/Bodis forms.

Regarding Undeveloped regular marketplace...
Overall, I tested it with ~20 domains... they were listed and parked there.
Outcome: the only one offer of $2.2K from Brazil and it was NOT paid.
That's all.

I see undeveloped now offers rent option, what is the fees? I can't find it on their website.

For the domain you want to activate rent option, hover over the greyed out buttons next to the Parked (P) button. Middle button is Installment (IN) and the Last button is Rent (R) When you click on it,it will pop up asking you to fill the amount/number of months etc..Fairly simple. Hope this helps:xf.smile:

thanks a lot... but when we apply rent the landing page only shows rent option and no make offer/buy now option. am i missing something ?

Correct, If you choose rent option, it would supersede make offer and bin/installment option and only the rent option would be shown on the landing page. It makes sense though, by renting the domain, you are indicating to the prospect that you are not willing to sell the domain and just looking to rent it out.

I think it should display the way Make Offer displays on a domain name with BIN.

So, basically the name shows up as a BIN. But, underneath it, it gives you the option to make an offer (to get in contact with seller) as well as a For Rent option. If you also have an installment plan enabled, that should also show up under the BIN. That way, the buyer is presented with all the possible buy options regarding a particular domain.

In my opinion, I think that is a better solution. @Undeveloped, what do you think?

I think it defeats the purpose. One of the advantages of undeveloped is it's clean interface. If you choose a make offer/bin the lander clearly says that the domain is for sale. If you choose the rent option, the lander clearly says the domain is for rent. Nothing confusing here. If we enable all options, it adds to the clutter and what do you say on the lander? That the domain is for sale or rent? Not all the prospects/users are looking to rent a domain, it's only specific use cases where a user wants to test out a certain media campaign or they want to see the kind of traffic they would get out of the domain etc, for them a simple lander that the domain is for rent would be just fine.

I do agree that the rent option could also have a contact seller feature as they have under the make offer/bin option, so if someone reaches the rent lander and are really looking to make an offer on the domain, they could very well do so and get in touch with seller as they normally would, through the interface.

I think it should display the way Make Offer displays on a domain name with BIN.

i mentioned this before.
i use makeoffr only so its no issue to me now

It is large due to NetSol Reseller business...
Among endusers NetSol popularity is minimal.

They put all kinds of hurdles for the transfers because they know very well the fact that we paid them only 50 cent to 1 dollar for a .com registration. Their renewal charges are about $ 36. They want usto stay with them and pay the horrible renewal fees.

Quick update:

The main project we're working on (Domain automation Network) is unfortunately delayed due to unforeseen issues with our blockchain. Since it's sensitive technology that cannot break or fail at any time we're taking no risks. Next week we'll deploy the next version of our blockchain in production on a shadow network, will start submitting transactions to the chain and create the first blocks, before our big launch. I can't give a specific ETA for the actual launch but we keep making good progress and are really close to launch the first automated domain ownership transfer service.

To keep improving our marketplace continuously, we did just launch the following features that were requested here:

- add captcha to the offer box to filter non-serious buyers. This feature is enabled by default for high-risk visitors but you can edit the settings to fit your own preference:

- the ability to select getting paid out in one of the three widely used cryptocurrencies:

And tomorrow, or at latest early next week another highly requested feature will go live where the buyer can now also submit their company name when placing an offer.

Kind regards,

Reza

What is your strategy when selling on Undeveloped? Do you create a custom page, like adding details, maybe a logo of your domain and such, or just throw the domain and wait ?!

I created logo's and tried to make a short description as well to try and give the potential buyer a little of my perspective when I bought the domain.

Thank you,
Cristian

Excellent Undeveloped, really appreciate these changes in particular the captcha one, will weed out tons of time wasters, even better that you have an option to do so just for higher risk leads, awesome!

Thank you very much. This will be a great safety net for times someone might not be able to take funds to paypal or a bank account.

Please add these changes to your Blog, Twitter or elsewhere so that sellers that don't watch this thread closely know about it. Undeveloped is always improving the UI but I have the impression people only find it out casually.

nice changes
im sure more coming too in future

can you clarify bout your crypto payments:

if I understand, we can now already request btc/eth/ltc payouts... except we need to request it manually after sale right?

so this change is more about automating this process for all sales? so now we pick between wire/paypal/btc in our settings and it goes there automatic? but on a per sale basis, we can still request specific payout method and contact you?

also, if we can get paid out in eth/ltc/btc does this mean you also accept payments form buyers in these? thanks.

Undeveloped.com, should try and increase its workers if need be.

I have lost 3 sales in a month because the buyers are thinking it's a scam, even one of the web developers of a buyer contacted me, and was saying that he doesn't have enough trust to continue with the sale.
All my domains are pointing with to undeveloped.com
I even closed a sale and paying me it's a problem for close to 3days now.......

Lazlo is great and please you guys should try and assist Simon in his department.

I know it's not easy. But let Ud try.

Thanks
