Few Days ago , i tried to access my Godaddy auction account but whenever i tried to access it , It redirects to Auction help page , I emailed at [email protected] , They replied me with very strange and childish answer :
Your Go Daddy Auctions privileges will be suspended due to nondelivery of cobijas.com. You will need to pay all admin fees if you want to use Go Daddy Auctions again. Please call us at 1-480-505-8877 or notify us by responding to this email if you intend to reinstate your Go Daddy Auctions privileges. Please note that when you list a domain name for auction, it is your responsibility to move the domain name in a timely manner once it sells. It is also your obligation to maintain control of domains you have listed and to remove listings if you no longer own or intend to sell. With 12 million revolving listings on auction, unfortunately it is not possible for us to offer the service of continually verifying ownership of every domain after it has been listed.

Note: Future violations will result in higher administrative fees and possible termination of auction privileges. You may avoid these fees in the future by reading, understanding and following the Terms of Service and Go Daddy Auctions Membership Agreement whenever you decide to list a domain in our system.

Please contact us again if we can be of further assistance.

I replied them this:

What are you talking about ? I never sold any domain cobijas.com on godaddy infact i never listed and own this domain , There must be some mistake on your side , I have godaddy auction account with email: [email protected] , kindly look again what are you talking about , I never sold any domain so far on godaddy , this must be an error.

Today I got very starange reply from Godaddy :

Thank you for contacting Aftermarket Support. We have looked further into the suspension and see you have 2 auctions accounts. You did not list the domain in this account but you violated the Terms and Service in the other so both have to be locked and you will have to pay the admin fee for both to get them unlocked.


Please reach out to us if you have any other questions.



I never own any other godaddy account and this cobijas.com was never my domain , what should i do ? I never add this domain into my account which is got suspended for no reason.

They have some serious problem. They suspended me for not delivering a domain that I deleted from my account weeks earlier.

That's a different case , they suspended me saying that you have 2 accounts and you sold domain from another account , Infact i never own this domain and never listed it for sale on my sole account i have. Their support is really immature and non-technical. I never own this domain and they have suspended me for actions which have been taken from another unknown account.

Seems like extortion tactics to me. Their upsell-cluttered checkout must not be pulling in enough sales these days.

Sorry, I have no solutions for you as I left Go(Away)Daddy over a decade ago.

Actually they want me to pay admin fees for domain which i never own & sold from unknown account which i don't own. It is really ridiculous.

You have to let the guy wake up first, I believe he works out of Phoenix , Mountain Time Zone. Hopefully he is in office today, as I believe some people are off for Spring Break.

There are only two good things at GD: amazing man Joe Styler, and their immense dropping inventory. Well, and domains getting sold there sometimes. Otherwise, it's a pure trash.

mistakes happen.. and probably a lot on gd... I already talked bunch of reps who simply didn't know what they were saying

but I'm gonna assume that people responsible for suspending accounts.. which is serious matter.. know what they doing.. and double triple verify things before suspension

yet here is the op.. who says he does not have 2 accounts.. and never even owned the name.

but the good news in all this is that things like ownerships etc are very easy to verify.. so once JS steps in.. I am sure this will solve in no time!

I would say not delivering a domain you list for sale is a serious problem and it will result in your account being suspended.

Technically you can have more than one auction account because maybe you have a personal one and business one, or something but it is pretty rare and it does raise red flags for us on the back end. We do keep an eye on these types of accounts to make sure this is no improper bidding for example.
The fee varies.

I will look into it but you should not be putting your account info on a public forum for security reasons.

I would say not delivering a domain you list for sale is a serious problem and it will result in your account being suspended.

Thanks Joe. I removed the domain from both tdnam and afternic weeks before. I owned the name for 11+ years without a single offer; suddenly the day it dropped there was a buyer.

I'd say your database isn't being updated or the transaction didn't complete and I wasn't notified or missed the notice.

I'll take a screenshot every time I remove a name from now on. When / if it happens again, I'll let you know you have a "serious" problem and ask for a refund.

It certainly looked like you had two accounts but long story short I discovered something that broke technically and caused an error. It was not easy to get to the bottom of but I kept looking and found it. I do not think it impacted anyone but you.
I have had them unsuspend your account. I am very sorry this happened. It was not your fault and I apologize for it. The support manager is aware of it and letting the developers know. I do not expect it to happen again to you or anyone else in the future.

I don't know. If it happened once (at least), isn't the likelihood of it happening again pretty high? Excluding developers fixing the bug or whatever allowed this situation to happen.

It's really unfortunate that honest customers are being punished, even monetarily, and being labeled as fraudsters, and any rightful protest is met only by deaf ears of Godaddy support staff. There is no recourse whatsoever.
