Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

There's a lot not on there though, for example vr.s*x and vr.p*rn sold for $100,000 each.

The vr.s*x owner wrote a blog about why he paid $100,000 for the domain:-

You're correct, but those give us some great comps. I see that VRexpo sold for $4595. I own VRexpos, so fingers crossed. I sold a non VR reg fee name on GD premium yesterday for $1999. Just waiting for it to clear,:)

Hey every one :) nice to see that the thread is still active, and that some of you are still there :)

I was away from the domain market for a while as i was occupied to develop business in the VR industry. I had to drop many domains as the takeoff took to long for my budget ...

Now we are finally at few weeks from the turning point for VR with the arrival of the quest.. the industry already start to boil, so be ready with your domain !

Good luck to every one !

over with domain holidays :)

Last 2 months i got mid xxx bids on vr*feedback.com and vr*webshop.com

The negotiation stopped when i asked for mid xxxx, am i getting too greedy or am i too early on the party?

To me, mid xxxx’s seems a little strong for those names. That said, all two word generics seem to be getting more bids lately.

"webshop is not a common term. sounds like someone just made it up. I wouldn't pay reg fee for it. and feedback is not the same thing as "review"...the name isn't intuitive...also wouldn't pay reg fee for it...if you got mid xxx offers you should have accepted my frend...

I've seen more interest in my VR domains in the last 30 days than I saw all of last year. For anyone who thought VR was a fad, that time is over. More proof of that will come when Oculus, HTC and Valve releases their new headsets this spring. Even more proof will come when Sony and Microsoft announce their new consoles, which are pretty much guaranteed to support VR. I think Sony will milk the growing support for PS4 VR for a while before they make any announcements, but they might be forced to stay competitive with Microsoft if they announce their new console.

I think the fact that Nintendo is doing VR again (very limited, but still a great for the industry) is also a very good thing. I suspect they will announce another console sometime after Sony and Microsoft do. Maybe E3 of 2020. I do feel a Switch Pro will be coming soon, which might not quite match up to a PS4 pro, but somewhere in the middle, which would allow for a better VR experience.

There still is a lot of companies who don't understand the potential of VR and how it will change everything. If you look at just about any industry, VR has huge potential for it. The demand for VR domains is inevitable. I figured it wouldn't be until 2022 or so before things really took off, but it feels like that it will come a lot sooner - this year, maybe next.
