The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I wouldn't be sure if the buyer of bike express wasn't sports direct as they have just joust a bike business but they like easy to remember impossible to forget self explanatory keyword domains as this one is and they are based in the uk

Its not bike express its bikexpress he sold

Just sold brightlab.cn - $1875 (funds received at Sedo)

The only explanation I can think of is that you've got thousands upon thousands of names to be able to pull off sales like these consistently.

Otherwise, you're some sort of advanced AI creature.

I'm not going to go into the details, but certainly the price is high. And for this domain name, this price, is still a high margin, at least I think so.:P

@HappyFXXK Strange, I cannot find that sale on namebio, not sure if namebio have stopped capturing Dynadot .xyz sales, prior 2019 sales are available, no xyz sales in 2019. @Michael do you capture xyz dynadot public auction sales?

Maybe the dynadot capture has a time limit, for example, only capturing sales records from 3 months ago...

We just hit this once a minute and record what is in there:

https://www.dynadot.com/market/auction/auctions.csv?keyword=&order_by=3

And if an auction isn't in there but should have still been running, we delete it as that means it was renewed prior to the auction ending.

Haven't recorded any above $100 in 2019, but there have been some below that:

upload_2019-3-1_20-34-0.png

When it sold for $499 was it an auction or a marketplace sale? We have no way to track the marketplace, only the auctions, so I'm guessing that's what it was. And also:

Trust me, your Numbers are way behind. In addition, my purchase price is higher than the price you showed. I sold it by auction. I sold it in 2019. This is not a sham transaction.

I woke up Monday morning to find that I had sold three domain names, each for $488, all three going to a single buyer in Berlin, Germany (thanks Jurgen!):
TheOwls.com
BitcoinFamily.com
SonicTransfer.com
He bought 'em all at Uniregistry Market. Small profits made on each.
No more information available.

Congrats! 488 for TheOwls is way too cheap.

I mean, it's always nice to see people make money, but at a certain point we have to ask ourselves are we devaluing domains too much for the sake of smaller sales.... SonicTransfer was such a great name for a Global payment processor worth a few grand for sure... Then we say buyers are offering low amounts...

For the two other is nothing but look like he got good deal for SonicTransfer, lots of possible end user in multiple niche.

Congrats! 488 for TheOwls is way too cheap.

We had multiple buyers who wouldn't budge above $100 for it when we had it priced at $988 or higher. We lowered it to $488 and it moved. Happy to let another domain investor to take the risk on it so we can move on and reinvest in better names.

We had no interested end users at higher prices. We lowered it to $488 and a domain investor bought it. We are happy to let another domain investor to take the risk on it so we can move on and reinvest in better names.

Your analogy may work in theory, but not always practical in reality there are plenty of similar or better domains sitting in domainer accounts that never sell. Sometimes you have to keep moving forward, with new buys, or new projects, and if you can make a little on old, or stale inventory then let the next guy try, and move forward.

Same buyer just bought TheRightSize.com from us for $488 BIN. We wish the buyer luck on all the names he has purchased (so far)!

Inbound BIN. Never spoke with whoever the buyer was. I bought it as a marijuana play but I'm not sure if that's where it went. Could be a tobacco or coffee shop that bought it for all I know.
Ok thanks..them would like to know your listing sites for your domains

  • I've been testing recently with Efty vs Undeveloped landers (both BIN+MakeOffer)
  • If you haven't read it already: my experience with custom landers (and deal flow)
  • If you're new to NP/domaining: here's a thread that might be interesting

Sold BlockRegistry.com @ GD BIN
SALE PRICE 999 USD
ACQUIRED 2-3 MONTHS AGO IN 90 USD FROM GD AUCTION

That domain is ideal for a tech venture start up

It wouldn't surprise me if a tech giant bought it or eventually buys it
