Why do people mispronounce things that they must have heard millions of times before
It is such a weird phenomenon
I was watching FaceTheNation, and an "expert" woman said Beh-Toe multiple times, eh = e in LET.
With a hard T. Not Baydo, not Beddo, not Beedo. Beh Toe
DAFUQ
I'm assuming you're talking about Robert O'Rourke
Robert in Spanish = Roberto
Diminutive for Roberto = Berto or Beto

So YES, Beh-Toe, would be the correct Spanish pronunciation for the "The song of the Cow" poet!

It was just St. Patrick's Day. Do people get offended if a politician lives up that they're Irish? I thought they're American. Why are they celebrating St. Patrick's Day, go back to Ireland. You can celebrate both your ethnicity and your nationality. She got voted in.

You are stretching this out. Nobody said they should go back to wherever they came from. I know she was voted in, question is does she represent the future? And the people in her district?

Tlaib has an identity issue, (read her story) since her mother conceived her over there and she was born in the USA. She is supposed to be assimilated into America. You’d think.

St. Patricks day doesnt celebrate anti UK stuff or bring in the “troubles” Protestant vs Catholic IRA stuff does it?. Unlike the moslem vs anti Israel stuff. I have never been to any Irish or German event ever in my life though thats my history supposedly. I was born North American. Period. No Identity problem. In fact I know next to nothing about either Countries traditions. My choice. No idea who the F@&k St. Patrick even was. Don’t care either. Maybe he wasn’t a saint? In fact I have no interest in any Saints, not a Sports fan either lol. New Orleans Saints, whatever.

I have never heard his name pronounced, so I assumed it was Beh-Toe as well. Unless somebody watches a lot of TV (rarely a good idea), they might not be familiar with the pronunciation.

And then, some people, even intelligent people, have trouble pronouncing words. Their tongues just want to say it the way they want to say it, like it's wired in their brains.

Hmmm, I hear him saying Beh-toe O-wark. Elmer Fuddish last name.
OK. So the rest of the media could just be running with a more casual pronunciation then, and Behtoe is more authentic

Doesn't mean she's stupid, yes
I don't watch any real TV, except big sports events occasionally, but I do still watch youtube clips....sometimes of TV shows. Just as bad.
Kind of TV replacement now
Funny to watch O'Rourke. He's a little annoying when he talks, as if everything he says is so groundbreaking and important..and moving his arms
hahahaha now I found another person, who is well-known, saying behtoe, . I thought I heard everyone say it the other ways before.

So reading more would make me focus on the more important things, not his manner

This Devin Nunes stuff is still Trending at #1, was wondering why. It seems his lawsuit is comedy galore. You can read it here - https://www.scribd.com/document/402297422/Nunes-Complaint-3-18-19

Some:
Nunes requested the court to order Twitter to reveal the identities of the anonymous accounts and to suspend @DevinNunesMom, @DevinCow, and Liz Mair.

"there’s an actual line in devin nunes’ lawsuit against twitter that claims twitter trolls “falsely accused Mr. Nunes of having ‘herp-face’”

-------
Republicans: Liberals are the biggest snowflakes ever
Devin Nunes: Hold my mom and my cow
andy lassner‏Verified account @andylassner 3h3 hours ago

People are going thru it, might read a little myself. Some copy and paste if I find anything:

"In this case, Twitter contributed materially to the illegal conduct of defamers Mair, Devin Nunes’ Mom and Devin Nunes’ cow."

"Nunes endured an orchestrated defamation campaign of stunning breadth and scope, one that no human being should ever have to bear and suffer in their whole life."

"Mair’s tweets about Nunes, for example, referred to the Congressman with disdain as “Dirty Devin"

"In her endless barrage of tweets, Devin Nunes’ Mom maliciously attacked every aspect of Nunes’ character, honesty, integrity, ethics and fitness to perform his duties as a United States Congressman.":ROFL::ROFL:

"Like Devin Nunes’ Mom, Devin Nunes’ cow engaged a vicious defamation campaign against Nunes that lasted over a year. Devin Nunes’ cow has made, published and republished hundreds of false and defamatory statements of and concerning Nunes, including the following: Nunes is a “treasonous cowpoke”"

"Nunes requests the Court (a) to Order Twitter to reveal the names and contact information of the persons behind the accounts “Devin Nunes’ Mom”, “Devin Nunes’ cow”, “Fire Devin Nunes” and “Devin Nunes Grapes

That's all direct copy and paste from his complaint. He's getting clowned on big time.

"To recap: Rep. Devin Nunes, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, is suing Twitter because a fake cow was mean to him on the internet. (He's also suing the fake cow.)"

https://twitter.com/search?q="Devin Nunes"&src=tren&lang=en

The only way to top this off is if he succeeded in getting the identities revealed and we found out Devin Nunes’ Mom, is actually his mother. And she's been on Twitter all this time, going after her own son.

haha, this:

She knows what it’s like NOT being one of the 1%, that’s for sure. That’s a good thing.

Even if you don’t like her, you have to admit she’s bootstrapped a better career and improved her situation in life.

Bezos is everyone’s hero here is 1%, so is Bill Gates, Buffet, etc. Hollywood, Kardashians, etc. So thats a bad thing and they are bad now?

She is guaranteed never to be a Bartender again, but a Govt related job somewhere, probably a lobbyist like Paul Ryan I predict. I don’t see her $875,000 donations that her manager VC guy moved to another account and is under investigation either.

Did I say that? Did I ever say that Bezos is my “hero???”

No. I did not.

My point was that many of our elected officials are wealthy and this seems to give some of them difficulty relating to or empathizing with the majority of those they were elected to represent. Her background adds balance and a different perspective.

I choose my words carefully. Don’t ASSume.

I believe that document represents her personal finances, not her campaign. What did or did not happen there is another matter. The investigation will figure it out.

We have yet to see a financial statement like that for POTUS. Or his tax returns. Just sayin’

BTW, just a non-judgemental observation: You seem to take a very "zero-sum" viewpoint of the world. If someone says that something is "good" (i.e. having input in government from someone who has an average income), you assume that they are implying something else (in this case, wealthy people) is "bad" If someone "gets" something, someone else must be "losing" something

Life is not a zero-sum game. IME.

Yep. Zero sum. Too much govt. too many govt employees, too many freebies for those who don’t deserve it, Too much illegal immigration, too much lack of common sense. Too much corruption top down. Too little taxes paid by big corporations. Yep, black and white. All zero sum.

You are funny. Emotional issue this stuff. I have a strong opinion, so what?

Just continue on bashing Trump. Its all fine. Zero sum with you regarding what he has done, and now criticizing me for zero sum on loser Govt employees and others?

Only Jealous liberals want to see his tax returns. Nobody really cares but Democrats, he didnt sell out America like Bushes, Clintons, Wimpy boy Obama. I don’t want to see the stupid Mueller report, zero sum.

Have you ever had one positive comment about Trump? That’s zero sum behavior. I actually am critical of him if you ever noticed, just yesterday even.

Keep smiling, your $1000. Free UBI checks in NJ are going to arrive one of these days!

Paul Ryan that POS is now going to be tied into Fox News, also zero sum but the other direction!

Turns out George Conway use to a Trumper who wanted a job in the DOJ

Whoa, multiple Trump supporters now have dropped some devastating stuff, Beto's high school poetry.

Are you guys waiting until he goes further along to drop the campaign killing stuff, some unearthed high school or college dancing videos?
It's called having a good laugh...you should give it a try.

mexican-word-or-thedayi-beto-ifyou-wanna-keep-yourguns-you-35934861.png

Beto "the fake hispanic" raised 6.1 million the first day of his campaign. Won't say how many donations or the average amount.

His entire accomplishment in the House was naming a court house in TX. That's it. Didn't sponsor or co-sponsor a single bill.

He's find with abortion in the third trimester for any reason.

He pissed away a fortune running against Ted Cruz. Promised he wouldn't run for President, said it would ruin his family.

Chose to run for President instead of taking care of his family.

He stands for nothing. How will he deal with China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia?.

Great thread on why the democrats new campaign to abolishing the Electoral College is a horrible idea.

(2) They understood: Humans fallible. Power corrupts. Ambition, selfishness, greed are dangers. Some claim Founders were elitists who didn’t trust the people. NO. They didn’t trust ANYONE. Not the people, not elected officials, not states or feds. Checks & balances on EVERYONE /5

One think I hadn't realized, voter fraud would be much more effective without the E.C.

#ElectoralCollege serves us well: It has several benefits that go unrecognized: 1st: It makes it harder to steal elections. Can’t steal election unless you steal votes in right state @ right time AND national election fairly close. /7

Replying to @TaraRoss
With a National Popular Vote system, obviously, any vote stolen anywhere affects national outcome. This is true even if the vote is easily stolen in a very safe blue or red state. This is a dangerous situation that the #ElectoralCollege protects us from today. /8

They might at first. But they'd soon see that they are still being outvoted by big urban areas. Only difference? Instead of outvoting the rest of California NOW San Francisco and L.A. could team up with New York City & Chicago to outvote the rest of the country.

The worst run, most corrupt cities in the country could pick our President.
