That's one reason why I think something like Develop.com would be a better choice.

But I don't think that's going to happen, and what has been said so far points to a non-English word, likely a short pronounceable that means absolutely nothing, a la SEDO, but probably 3 or 5 letters to stand apart.

Whatever they choose, I hope they choose a word/domain that is centered around the end-user buyer rather than the seller. For instance..

selldomains.com - bad

buypremiumdomains.com - good

(these are just examples for illustration, of course)

The name should be centered around the buyer, not the seller.

Not a huge fan of the name Dan for this type of site but Dan.com is still a killer domain, so it will be interesting to see if they actually bought it or not.

Really interesting question. I like DAN (nice tie in with their system) and UND (nice tie in with their past). They specifically mention international and wonder what message is. I am wondering if they are going to an .org instead of a .com, since it is not under US Government (ultimate) control any more. It also finds use in some blockchain related uses, which ties to DAN and future trends.

I looked at owners of DAN in org (a diving group) no sign of movement as well as UND in org. So I don't think it is directly one of those.

They talk about it being brandable, so I wonder if they start with DAN but add something like idan or dano or dani. My prediction is something including but not only DAN and in the .org extension.
