Hello guys. I'm gonna try to keep it short:

I own a business in my country called Public America and we try to get more youth into skateboarding and other activities and also selling some clothes etc.

I ended up searching for PublicAmerica/com and found that nobody had the domain. I thought I had misspelled or something but I guess nobody else wanted it so I bought it. I checked the trademark and there is one Public America in the US but their company have been "dead/abandoned" since 2007 and "Under U.S. trademark law, non-use of a trademark for three consecutive years creates a rebuttable presumption of abandonment of the mark (whether or not it is registered)".

However, I am not selling or producing anything near what they once did and I would respect the trademark if it wasn't for the reason that in 10 years they have not shown any sign of taking up their business/brand or domain. If they ever owned the domain.
