Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

CANNABIS CATEGORY on NameBio.
Try the new cannabis (beta) category on NameBio (choose Category=Niche, Subcategory=Cannabis). Please do some various sorts and searches and let's evaluate the results. Are there too many names that don't belong? Are there names that should be included, but are not? It uses keyword matching, so it is impossible to include all cannabis names or filter out all non-cannabis names. But we do have the flexibility to match names based on whether the keyword is found at the beginning, end, or anywhere in the string, or if the keyword exists as a parsed word in the name (for example parsed 'bho' would include 'bhoextratction' but not 'webhosting'. Should we eliminate some broad keywords (such as 'flower', 'green', 'farm', or 'organic')? Or is it better to see all these results? Is there anything that surprises you about the results, good or bad? Please give your opinions!

Thanks @Keith I open this thread to only look for your posts and what posts you like. Just to try pick your brain.

Anyway one comment from me regarding my dama/you dot com which is cannabis oil in Chinese pinyin. Traffic slowed ☹️☹️☹️ Hopefully USA legalisation at the federal level eventuates which would open the doors for worldwide legalisation!!! Thats what I’m keeping my eyes on

Who would have thought Hemp would ever become row cropped like corn or soy nationwide.

Just getting caught up on reading the thread (it has taken several cups of coffee) and spotted your post and wanted to share some info.

Long story but a family dispute a few generations ago meant I grew up not knowing many of my relatives/cousins. My sisters middle name is Reynolds and I knew we were related to the tobacco planters so I did some digging a few decades ago to find long lost kin. Found a cousin that is in the direct down line in terms of inheritance and it turned out he and I shared the same enthusiasm for medical marijuana (early 80's). :xf.smile:

He showed me literature where a large tobacco company had been working in a country located in South America and they had been developing marijuana planting and harvesting techniques. Actually saw a series of pictures of a marijuana 'combine' in the process of harvesting the fully grown plants.

It has taken a while for minds to evolve and there are years of work to be done, but it looks like we (in southeast) are in for a great harvest to come!

(btw, I apologize if I posted this name before but I really fell in love with "high tide smoke shop" in the com and registered it...maybe my own little store in the near future!)

Got an email from a company I just did a deal with. They have been bombarded with desperate requests from folks trying to sell domains. Due to this I’m no longer posting sales here.

Also, if your domain is quality you don’t need to chase down potential buyers. If you find yourself emailing someone with scraps, you should quit domaining.

Bummer Keith. Sad this happened to your client, and that it happens from so many 'desperate' so called domainers.

Really poor behaviour. I would feel embarrassed if I tried pulling this kinda crap....

People need to look into how to conduct business in the right way.

Because of this we have lost a valuable insight into this niche....

Some people are just too desperate. They see you have a domain and quickly registers the plural to bombard you a fellow domainer to buy it.

Personally I get ideas and learn from people like @Keith but not to embarrass their Clients who already got what they need. Go look for your own clients

This is a prime example of why I seldom ever discuss or report my sales, and often encourage or offer privacy on end-user sales.

Buyer privacy and a professional rapport is far more important than some arbitrary likes, or accolades, from forum reporting, imo.
