Just for a bit of fun and nostalgia, please share the first domain you ever registered and when.

Would love to hear from older domainers who regged in the nineties and also new domainers who've just started their journey.
Mine was -

FreeLiveBoxing .com

Hand reg 2011. Personal site. Wanted to break away from social media and take control over my content, plus teach myself how to build a website and run my own server.

Plus I love mustard.

Stop. Just stop. Its over and done, really really enjoyed it while I had it. Actually I miss it now. Simpler times.

I only recall 1 domain I registered on the old era, when the only registrar was NetSol. I lost it at NetSol in the transition to multiple registrars. I remember NetSol not being prepared to accept any change of email address, from a dead email address on the whois. Even though the domain was in my account. This action cemented my dislike for NetSol, until this day. It was a very nice short made-up name with a mixture of english and american spelling, which were both commonly used. It took me about 1 month to find this domain. All other variations on the word had already been registered. It was picked up, without dropping, to a big NetSol account/customer. I won't mention it here, because it still hurts, after all this time.

In the era of multiple registrars. I don't recall if this was really the first domain I registered. But it would have been close, and is close to my heart... coolstu.com

ElbowCreek.com I have not updated for years, it still gets some traffic. It's one of those 'someday' projects.

I did register my kids names in dot com, still have those as well.

An LLL.com I branded for $75 in 96’. Sold business and retired. I repurchased some of my 90’s additional redirect keywords back recently, just to have them.

Well it was a better name than any of my girlfriends ever had :) Past or Present. More memorable too :) Except for the one's called Honey :) It's the inordinate amount of corruption in this industry which make me want to cry sometimes :( Maybe they would have treated me better with 1000's of domain in my account. Remember. Everybody HAD to have an account at NetSol, in those days.

Kohsamui (dot) org in 1998. Then I accidentally dropped it in 2001, but was able to buy it again. I developed it and it used to be the most visited website about the island (Koh Samui), but not anymore.

I also bought Silvershine (dot) com in 1999 and used it for selling silver jewelry from Thailand online in Sweden. It was fun and somewhat profitable, but far from a huge economical success. ;)

One of my first registrations December 2005 was Mascota.biz (pet in Spanish)

I kept that name for about a decade because it is a nice keyword BUT I finally let it drop because even great keywords don't matter in crappy extensions (even though .biz has been around many years)
