Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

@Undeveloped
I sold a domain yesterday at Undeveloped.com and i was looking forward to a swift transaction.
This was my first sale at Undeveloped and what i realized was, the experience at Undeveloped could be more user friendly and optimized, if you had a real-time chat option, where we could have all the details of escrow sorted out over a few mins of conversation, instead of the hours of waiting, for the escrow agent's response, that comes with the current experience.

Give it a week or two and you'll be surprised ;)

On another lighter note, you should thank your lucky stars you didnt had a sale on any other marketplace where "the hours of waiting" are actually days and once you push or transfer the domain you'll wait weeks to get paid. All these for 20%-25% commission, not 9% as in UD's case.

The UD guys are a bunch of hard working people, not only they deal with the transfers but also chase the late-payers via email and phone trying to close deals when the buyers are unresponsive once they click the BIN button or accept the offer. This takes time and I reckon they're extremely busy. While every seller wants to close the deal fast and get paid asap, most people actually live in La-La Land and expect the UD guys to handle the transfer, verify the payment and issue the money in ten minutes and also to offer 24/7 support (via chat 'cause email is apparently too slow for some) to Mr Doe Domainer who can't wait till Monday to close his $299 sale on Sunday. Unrealistic imo...

As for weekends, we have to understand that UD just don't have the numbers to handle Sat & Sun support. I think they're just about 5-6 guys alltogether. It's still a startup and it will take time for them to grow at Sedo's or GD's levels. Plus in Europe, weekend is weekend, you know... no weekend support, no biggie imo... However if you'd be about to close a six or seven figures sale on a Saturday I'm sure Reza can change his schedule :)

agreed
everyone should love undev
i hope they never change

sadly in life...things never stay same forever...new managements come.. greed..etc...

but..hope for the best...that they remain different and better from sedo gd etc

Undeveloped.com is running really well at the moment. Helped a lot for making my sales happen, particularly impressed with Laszlo
Timely response, even helped me close deals.

on Sedo's level

lots of problems with GD...
afternic, not too bad.

With undev (200+ domains sold), i tried many pricing strategies but i have to continue to test... it seems that on GD or afternic i could sell higher.

Could you tell us @Undeveloped what you'll improve ?

there cant really be a logical connection btw sale lander type and final sale price..however..there could be illogical ones

with afternic, i always sell at bin, with undeveloped i rarely sell at bin if i let the make offer.
And maybe the godaddy appraisal price near to the bin on afternic could help selling higher.

You need to google, "on a lighter note". I never criticised nor complained against UD. I agree they are far better than the lot, in terms of everything. I was just replying to @Innoverge as he couldnt waited for some hours, so I was wondering how would he had reacted if he had to wait for a day. Like everyone else I love weekends and even with a seven figure sale of some PRO, UD staff shouldnt be ruining their weekend schedule.

PS: it was 399$ sale!

I'm also online everyday for working (sometimes a few minutes, sometimes a few hours).
But I sell much less domains on saturdays and sundays, maybe 3% of domains are sold on saturdays and 5% on sundays.
maybe undev could give us statistics for sales...

well.. I mean maybe we talk 2 different things here.
me I was talking about typein sale landers... undev vs afternic vs other.
for those, there can't really be a logical explanation why a buyer or sales would be lower on one versus another

however, if you want to talk about listing names on various markets.. and getting sales from there.. like for example when you setup bin on afternic it goes to XXX different partners etc.. then this is a very different story.

but strictly for sale lander.. if you put afternic lander vs undev lander.. and both have same bin.. or both are makeoffer... then I see no logical explanation why one woudl get different results from buyers... if buyers come to that lander through same typein process.

54% is a false claim. Even I have more than 500 domains listed on undeveloped.com but only 2 offers?

I don't know, whether they promote all domains and how are they promoting domains?

Secondly, how is the comparison made? Are they comparing to sedo / godaddy / flippa ?

yeah.. great.
I don' think they will act like a broker per se and negotiate prices for you
but that too is probably possible given how flexible they are in all areas
but for sure they'll keep sending thjose payment reminders and calling buyer.. after sale closes.

whcih is great.

seriously, one has to be basically out of their mind to criticize undev.. the way they support you.. the competitive sale fee.. is just on another level.. and the closest second .. whether sedo or gd or aftrnic is so far behind you can't even see them...

seriously, I hope you keep up this level of support and professionalism and don't change and end up one day where all your competition is today. they should all be taking notes lol... but of course.. we know they aren't.

look forward to your new updates too.
cheers

I think it’s a matter of trust. You list on Afternic and the name is then listed on multiple trusted partner websites. Trusted partners not only means trusted by Afternic, it also means trusted by people around the world. Different countries have registrars that are familiar and trusted by the people living in that specific country.

Buyer paid today.

great. i have a mid 4 figure sale pending.
where buyer is russian and when they called him today they say they can't talk to him at all.
the only thing he can apparently say in english is "maximum 4500$" in offer window.. when I countered his 4k with 5k.

I hope lack of communication possibility with buyer will not be deal breaker here and undev finds a way. I guess its rare cases like these where maybe a place like afternic with god knows how many brokers speaking many languages may come in handy.

Im hoping maybe at least undev can send invoice in russian @Undeveloped

not sure if they have their site in russian translation. maybe I should check

May be, you can use Google translation, copy and send the message across...

Can someone help me develop interest in Undeveloped.com? I have tried severally but always give up. That marketplace is very uninspiring to me. Same as Afternic. Same as Godaddy, I only use Godaddy to receive domain push, after which I'm gone with my domains :xf.grin::xf.grin::xf.grin:
