This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

Congrats on the sale! My only question is: would you be happy with that amount had you not known who the end user is?

Personally I would not look at it that way - the whole "woulda, coulda, shoulda" approach. That's the pro/con of listing a domain - you never know who the potential buyer is.

I have learned to price my BIN domains based on an amount I'd be happy selling for regardless of the end user. Once a sale takes place, I look at it as being better to have a sale than no sale at all.

Same thing happened to me. I listed a 4L .co for mid $xxx (first .co i registered and used it to build a site) then I had no use for it, listed it on GD auctions and was scooped up immediately by a Brazilian payment processing startup. I probably could have gotten more but that's the learning process. Take what you learn from 1 sale and apply it to the next.

Congrats again!
Agreed, my model is not to get the most out of few names, but good healthy profit out of lots of names for steady sales, so I'm happy with the sale and could have gone the other way had I priced to high. I only held the name for about 20 days and cost me about $10 so no complaints :)
