So we are nearly 3 months into 2019, how are your domain sales going? Sold many? Are you on target?

3 Months into 2019? It's only February 24th! 3 months in is still 5 weeks away! lol
... I think maybe you should focus on reading calendars before sales! ;)

Seriously though .. very good for me. Multiple $xxxx sales already! :)
Staying up late because I'm exchanging a few emails with an incoming lead, trying to close another one! Tomorrow might be the first day since July where I miss posting my daily lists at NameCult!

@DefinitelyDomains .. You started the topic .. how's your year so far?

Ok, point taken - i guess I'm wishing time away!

Sales for me have been steady although I would say the majority of my sales so far have been .co.uk sales (3/4 £***) also being based here in the UK helps.

No .com sales yet as I am currently reducing my .com portfolio and dropping most, and now only investing in quality .com's within 2/3 specific niches. Hopefully, some good $*,*** sales will follow.

Selling lots of 4-5L .org pattern domains for very low $xxx, but they were $1 buys so thats cool. Occasional medical related domain (niche stuff) for mid $xxx. A few mid $xxx .coms. Nothing $xxxx yet, but I have been pretty lazy since the new year and only now am getting back into gear.

This year as of now I did 2 sales of nTLDs ($5.4K volume).
Still 0 with legacy TLDs.

Not too bad, last year started insanely good, so it would sort of be unfair to compare to last year, but overall sales are still steadily happening.

For the first 6 weeks 3 .com sales, total amount is arount $1500, so not much.... but considering that I’m working on website for a customer and anothe one personal and I didn’t put any effort in domains in Feb is not that bad

4-5l orgs are hard to sell.. even for 100$
where do you sell those and what LOTS mean? like 30 per month?

it can make great domain strategy if you can sell one 4-5l org per day every day :)

most domainers have a real hard time selling orgs handregs.

I started doing pattern 4-5L .orgs about 18 months ago. I am not going to mention the patterns, but its a combo of knowing good 2L parts of a 4L and also outbounding to orgs that have your 4L as full words. 5L's are usually an added word to the 4L when the 4L is not available for me to buy. Most sell for $235, but low is $188, high is $325. Lots means about 10-15 a month. If I posted sales people would see patterns and then I can just kiss those fresh expires goodbye. I drop patterns with no sale, but use traffic to selectively keep some for 2 years.

It's like 6N .com domains. Most still available are worthless. But with online tools you can find nice patterns that you buy for $1, let age for 60 days, watch visit traffic and then put up for sale. You get $75 to $150 and its a nice ROI.

ah ok I see.
thanks for sharing.
I had no idea this was outbound.. that changes everything.

its prety much impossible to sell these many org handregs without any outbound :)

its good you found your strategy. if the time you spent on this is reasonable, then this sounds like a pretty sure 2-3k per month.. which is annual income for many jobs.. depnding on location in world... and way more than annual income in some other places :)

cheers.

That's just for my .ORGs. I dont' put all eggs in one basket. Like the 6N .coms, I bought 797731.COM yesterday for $1. What's it worth ? I don't know. But it is worth more than a dollar. :-P

I’ve only sold three names so far, but the prices are ok...

I've sold five .coms here on NP. The price ... $5 each ... which is okay because they were some of my first hand regs, and I was going to drop them anyway.
