XR can be X Reality or Extended Reality.

Either way it describes the spectrum just like mixed reality.

Been looking around and shopping for a while now, saw many companies choosing to rebrand to xr or just starting with xr in their names..

Those are only some of my findings that are already developed (there are many more undeveloped by major companies like unity/sony etc..)

Given the contention around this domain, I remain curious, and rather intrigued. We know the name is worth $200 because someone has submitted that bid. On what grounds can it be assumed that the name is worth more than that? Does anyone at least have a good business use in mind that would generate some revenue? A business that groups people together for communal XR experiences? Is that a viable business?

I'm asking someone to enlighten me. I'm new to domain sales. I see criticism of @Winfluence for what seems to me to be reasonable advice. Anyone who thinks this domain is worth $200, please tell us why.

Terrible decision imo. Not because of the XR abbreviation, i would have said the same with VR, it’s just a terrible decision.

Say it out loud ‘vTime XR’ who’s going to say that? People who use the vTime app will call it ‘vTime’ still.

If vTime wanted to brand around XR, they would have been best going with a totally different name, not adding ‘XR’ after their current name.

It is a possitive sign for XR that they felt pressured to use it, despite the fact that they are a consumer focused company....especially given that most consumers don't know what XR is.

I don't get these guys. There are so many valuable domains to hand reg in so many different industries and these dummies are regging trademarks. Sad thing is, they don't realize that you can actually sell a bad domain with the right pitch to the right buyer. It happens every day, just look at the daily sales. No one needs to reg a trademark...not even out of desperation...it's just pure stupidity...
