Can anyone advise me on the proper method of removing my domains from Brand Bucket? They've been there for well over a year, lots of visits but not one bite on them. I think its time to get them back into my hands... I just dont know how and I assume there is a 30-day window where if it sells then BB gets their fee?
How many do you have at BB?

I have 2 domains there. They get lots of traffic, but from where I can not tell. Are they bots or good traffic? Not sure. I've lowered, raised, lowered again, and raised and lowered prices again -- it doesnt seem to change the traffic nor has it resulted in any bites. So I think it might be time to get them into my own hands again and see where this traffic is coming from and how might I convert it into sales.

Anyone else experiencing a very quiet period at BB? I hope it is just me... I don't have access to their Slack channel, so can't ask other sellers there.

No sales for me so far in 2019. I know it is normal to have periods without sales, but this is the longest I have experienced in recent years.

You’re competing with an onslaught of hand regs. The “Brand Bucket” is getting very large indeed. Unless your portfolio with them is growing at the same rate as their entire offering, your sales will obviously go down.

I'm not sure how many names they are adding these days. But the review time is certainly extremely slow again.

I am done with brandable sites. I would rather sell my domains at a lower cost and pay less commission so we get a larger audience.

Having a decent domain sitting at $4500 for a year doesnt help anyone. People will see the number and walk away. You cant lower it in most cases and most people will think their offer wont be enough. I can put the same domain up for $2500 and get more potential buyers.

If you have 500 listed at BP, you still have decent chance.😆

Which ones have you used, apart from BrandBucket?
Brandpa and something else with Name in the title, but I dumped that a while ago.

I have close to 400 domain listed with Brandpa but no sale yet. This is my 2nd year with them.

If i don't see a sale this year, i will say good bye to BP.

My portfolio is worth over a 1 million. Lets see what happens. Hope fully i make a sale before i become homeless.

Namerific is just dead. They have no support. I submit a ticket over a year ago. My ticket is still open no one got back to me.

I lost a sale because of them because no one reply my emails.

The “Brand Bucket” is getting very large indeed.

According to their current internal search results: There appears to be 54,220 published domains at present time.

Thanks. That is a lot of competition...

Competition is one way to look at it. Probably the best way to look at it when considering the sell through rate of a generic made up (more times than not coupon hand reg) brandable that doesn't include any keyword, that gets burried in their search algorithm.

The other way to look at it is more leads for premium domains. The diamonds tend to shine brighter in the rough. Though, you (@Embrand) having one of the better BB portfolio's, I'm sure have more first hand experience in this department and can better attest to the accuracy of this theory.

In comparison to today's apparent 54,220 published domains, on August 24th, 2017, there appeared to be 46,233 domains published. Thus, only a 8,000 increase in total inventory over the past one and a half years.

The same time 2 years ago, they had 42,000 names listed...

So basically, unless your portfolio with BrandBucket has grown 25-30% in the last 2 years, your sell through rate will inevitably go down.

Well, their premium inventory is not on the home page anymore, but they do send out a newsletter with premium names once in a while. I have had quite a few names featured in these, so I certainly cannot complain about that.

Lol,

I knew some people who have close to your number but yet they don't make sales at BP. It's near dead.

I wonder how much this varies if you're growing your BB portfolio in quality instead of quantity? (assuming quality yields better internal search results)

As @Embrand BB portfolio is truly something to drool over.

Less domains. Less renewals. Less listing fees. Higher initial investment. Higher reward. The way to do it?

So many different strategies and factors to consider in domaining... :banghead:

I think the problem is that your portfolio is of such high quality. 82% of your names are above $8,995. It would be really hard to compare your sales against other sellers where the majority of the names in their portfolio are priced under $3,000.

I knew 14 BB sales this month there is only one domain which sold above $3k

Most of names which sold are under $2.5k

Yes, it is true that it is hard to compare with many of the other portfolios. But I had a pretty good 2018 at BB, so that is why I feel 2019 has been unusually quiet so far.

But to be fair to BB, it has also been quiet for me at Undeveloped and Afternic, so maybe it is just a general thing.
