Hello all,

Im a newbie in domain flipping...

some weeks ago i found this domain in justdropped.com and thought it could be valuable.

I know I should have analyzed better before buying the domain, but i did it anyway.

Was just wondering if anyone could be the potential value for it:

cashtilpaydayloan.com

Tell what you think.

waaaay too long.

Stick to domains that either focus on very strong keywords ("LeatherJackets.com") or have a brand name that instantly pops - something you'd see in a real store in your city (like "CarWorld.com")

Thanks,

So there is no way of selling this domain?

Yes, too long and redundant. Payday loans are cash until payday, so
cashtilpaydayloan.com is redundant.

Just put it up for sale very cheap and move on.

Ok thank you very much...

i Bought this one for $69 on droppeddomains.

I know this was a mistake, not planning to do that again.

Could this be sold for more than what a I payed for it?

Even a little more :)

Just put it up for sale for something like $235 and wait and see. If you bought it, someone else might too.

I was an English instructor for years, so that fact sometimes biases me, but there’s a misspelling in your domain name.

Sometimes an on-purpose misspelling can generate major money, as in the case of turmuric.com, which is a one-letter misspelling
of the breaking Western World miracle spice turmeric—which has been a staple in the Eastern hemisphere for centuries.

In your case, though, your domain name is abnormally long, as pointed out by several NP pros before me—GoDaddy’s all-things-being-equal maximum desired domain name length is 15 letters.

Because your domain name is 17 letters, there’s no reason to misspell “til,” which l noticed first (til is a sesame plant)—I said l was King’s English obsessive—and l think the misspelling is amateurish if you don’t mind the criticism.

Yes, it makes the domain name shorter, but it’s still overlong. And many might disagree with me.

I do like your motivation, though, including getting feedback from experts—and l’m still learning
a lot myself. Keep on keeping on!

Hi @Thundercat and welcome to NPs. I agree with the advice others have given re redundancy, length, etc. I did a bit of search on NameBio finding nothing sold with "cashtil" but in terms of "paydayloans" quite a few including some with similar redundancy issues such as this sale from last month that went for $105. If your name was mine I would list it with a BIN price somewhere that commission would not take too much at a price like $149 and hope to get back what you put into it. Best wishes.

Will probably put it on $150, and see how it goes :)

Likely not. I'd just put a low exact price on it (say, $197) and put it up on the marketplaces.

Consider this just as the cost of learning. You'll lose some. I remember the first name I ever registered - Great8.com - and I thought I had a sureshot winner on my hands.

Took about $700 in losses before I picked up a name that actually made me some money.
