Finding An Expiry Date

Friends,

,When l try to find an expiry date on certain domains of mine on Whois.com, it,s covered by a note that the domain name is available for $XXXX—which indicates I’ve put a price on it on, say Sedo. Is there another way to locate the domain’s name?

For you very small number of Sarcasmos out there—yes, l know l should have recorded the Exp. Date when I bought the domain (which I will do henceforth).

My problem is I’m a creative (you can read and criticize a couple of my published and produced stage plays online—“Married Not Buried” and Game Show”); however, most creative people do sacrifice some common sense in a birthright tradeoff.

Thanks for your understanding!

I don't understand your question, please clarify.

Not sure what whois site you are using. Try whois.com. The expiration date of the domain should not be masked.

You can also log into your registrar and see your expiration dates. You can also change where the previous registrant may have put the domain for sale lingo in place of their name

Hope this helps

This is what l meant to question—but it’s involved. When l put my domain name—MarriedNotBuried.com—up for sale on GoDaddy, it technically becomes available again. The problem at least for me, is that when Whois.com announces its availability , it “covers up” the means of finding an Expiry Date—at least as far as l can tell.

Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the follow-up!

I think you're using the wrong search. Click on the magnifying glass up top. The big search bar is strictly commercial, I think.

Hi Lew,
Always nice to have creatives here!
That domain name expires Sept 29, 2019 as I read it.
One easy way to get record is go to Namecheap.com (you don't need an account). From the Domain menu select Whois and enter the domain name.

Thanks very much. Bob, for your quick, informative and cheerful response!

Now if l could only figure out how to submit a domain name—NeverMissCupid.com (‘tis the season) to the highly-conspicuous free NP Auction slot. As I am ostensibly an Established Member, which I’m not really, I’m supposed to understand URLs—and l don’t have a clue.

If I understand what you want to do Lew you go to the auction section and start a new thread. I.e. https://www.namepros.com/forums/domain-auctions.63/

Note that there are rules about what info must be included - read carefully @Eric Lyon helpful post at top of that thread about how to structure a post.

Keep in mind that auctions here are to other domainers so go at wholesale prices.

Thanks very much, Bob, for your response. I truly appreciate every helpful reply I receive, but especially from someone not only as eminently qualified as you obviously are but also seemingly always at the ready to impart your vast domaining knowledge to others!
