This being the cctld section of namepros I am sure the answers I get here will be somewhat bias:) But here is my questions:

I found several niche generic domains with rather good overture. I was debating on getting the .net or the .co.uk version.

Revenue is important in this decision with it being a solid overture number with .com I know this would do great, but obviously not many people would choose to type mygoodgenericname.net, BUT my do people type megoodgenericname.co.uk????

Thoughts? Sorry, I am just wading into the international ext world but was wondering how well generics do for type-ins.

Thanks for any help!!!!!

Picked up 055 in co.uk and .uk last week from eBay. Speculative buy as there doesn't seem to be a market for NNN at the moment. Might have been from someone here at NP but not sure.

There is some market but unless it's a top-end gTLD like .COM/.ORG/.NET/.CO, those leading "0's" are often a tough sell.

Yeah that's what I thought but for the small price I paid I don't mind holding on for now.

Think domainlore.uk is the only place I've sold UK names.

As this is also a showcase...

Not a fan of having to buy an email address to use domainlore so didnt buy an email and so don't use it but I do browse its sold prices to get an idea of market value etc

Ironically I am seeing a little of trucks in the uk with

ao dot com

As the website address on the truck

And think that website address must have cost in excess of £1m confortably

And also found out by not really thinking about it that a large uk company eg stobart dont own stobart dot com

Eg their surname in .com

Yeah it's a good site to keep an eye on even if you don't use it just to see what the reseller prices are on certain name types.

I see a lot of new GTLDs in use in London. I may do a little study at some point of how many of each type of name I see in an average day driving around london.

Probably the right thing to do lol. I don't see loads of .London's in comparison to other TLDs but what I do see aren't premium names but rather company names. There still isn't enough awareness around the extension yet although they did have some TV advertising and billboards when it was first released.

I have sold or been involved in hundreds of co.uk domain sales over the years (since around 2010) including 3L's, one words, geo's, services, emds etc. I am a UK domain registrar and have run one of the most successful co.uk catching systems in the past.

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have about .co.uk or .uk domains.
Dave, what about .org.uk? Are these really so bad? Can i expect to sell ones to some non commercial or informational or maybe healthcare organizations? Thank you

Hey All,

Where can I likely sell my .co.uk domains? DomainLore? Sedo? or Outbound?

Many thanks!

Depends on how good the domains are.....if they are premium quality domains then they should sell anywhere but amazing names will go on Sedo, if they are decent quality and you are happy with reseller prices then domainlore or if you want top prices then spend time on outbound. Have a look at domainlore to see what sells for what....I've recently sold at domainlore but also put in some domains that didnt sell....(and thought that they would easily.....so swings and roundabouts)

Also @Marvin De Guzman just remember that it costs £5 to put a domain to domainlore whereas at sedo its free to list - however sedo takes a commission whereas domainlore doesnt....and if your domain sells at domainlore you get your £5 back...out of the names you have listed above personally I'd list all at sedo, you could maybe try easycasinogames @domainlore....but just my opinion..

Or list here @NamePros :)

Many thanks. Is there a common trend on what are the domains that sell in DomainLore? Is it more on short domains? Brandable? keyword/high search?

lll's .co.uks always get bids, generally between low and mid xxx
"carp.co.uk" is currently at £3k
"interiordesign" sold for £3805
DesignerCurtains sold for £50

I've currently got boiling in auction there with no bids (recent drop), but hopeful...
If you take a look you will see the recent sales with sales over £500 on the right hand side, with the current auctions at the top, the second tab along are the domains waiting for bids....if you have strong single keyword domains they will sell, ll or llls will sell, everything else is a punt! imo...right person right time...

I have tried 3x to register for domainlore but don't want to change my email address just to be able able to list my. Co. uk domains

Why make it so difficult when no other auction site I know requires a person to charge their email address to list their domains for sale on an auction site

uk domains would sell for higher prices If people could actually work out how to register for the auction site

If someone I chat to on here or uses domainlore dm me please and knows how to register on it

You need to use your personal email account. The site won't allow to use free mail account. Your personal domain email account should be connected with your PayPal account because they require to verify it.

I've only sold 1 UK domain for a decent price(low xxx), I would suggest you check with NameBio and DomainLore for those UK domains that was sold so you can get an idea what to capture and sell.

Well, I'm from the UK, but out of the 46 domains that I currently own, only one of them is a .co uk - cosmic-creations.co.uk (just for my online portfolio). I chose a .co.uk CC for this particular domain because I'm a British artist and I wanted the domain to reflect the fact that I'm based in the UK.
You mean, rest of all is . com? What if the buyer skips to the .co.uk extension of your .com booked name?
