The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
One of the domains sold is mine. So glad to hear that.
Domain name is fxxxxxxx.org. sold for $1xxx
Now is stil in process of payment form NamesCon.
I will share this experience and the tips to submit and to sale in NamesCon Next Year (2020),
after I receive payment from NamesCon.

Thank you all.

I notice that as of tonight DomainNames.com takes you to the main page for Network Solutions.

Given their parent web.com has owned it forever, it would make sense.

So it is just that it has not yet transferred and they are still using it? I had thought that earlier it went to a for sale page, but my memory might be wrong. Or did I misunderstand and the buyer was not Frank Schilling for this name at the NamesCon Auction?

Yeah, the transaction will be an escrow process, so payment will be requested, sent & confirmed, then the transfer of a .com of course takes time (way longer than it should IMO)...

So it'll be a little while before Frank gets his hands on it and can change the nameservers...

I understand that, but the weird thing was the domain name was not used to redirect to Network Solutions prior, it has been changed recently. Why do it for a few days or weeks when the name has been sold and is going away? Prior it was used as a for sale page (I checked that my memory was right from WayBack Machine). I mean, I guess, now that not for sale, they wanted to take that off, and maybe figured they might as well direct it to their site. When I sell names I just make them not direct anywhere while the sale is being finalized. I notice from DT that the Whois record was updated today (Feb 5).

Whois says the record was last updated Jan 14 - which was possibly the seller cleaning up the whois record or taking off privacy or something to that effect prior to the auction? Hopefully that changed didn't lock the the domain for 60 days preventing a quick transfer. Otherwise, not sure what their motivation was to change the nameservers or landing page.

Does anyone know if the results from the online portion of the auction have been posted? I tried NameJet but they don't seem to have them up. If anyone knows a link would appreciate it. Thanks.

I don't have a list, but I followed the auctions, and very, very few names reached reserve.

Thanks. Do you know of any not sold in the live auction that sold in the online one? Or is it possible no list is posted because there were no additional sales?

I don't think any of the big names sold, but I could be wrong. It was quite a depressing event, actually.
