Names previously transferred out of Namecheap can't be transferred back: From the NC site:

Any domain that was previously transferred out of Namecheap is exempt from the offer. We also strongly recommend you don't transfer within the first 45 days of renewing your domain with another provider after expiration (as your renewal year might not transfer). You are also unable to transfer domains within the first 60 days of their initial registration due to restrictions.

Their support said those domains can also be transferred. Have you tried to transfer any domain previously transferred out using the coupon?

The coupon did not work for domains that I had previously transferred out of NameCheap. I just chatted with Olga at NameCheap support who confirmed that the coupon is only valid for domains that haven't previously been transferred out and directed me to the small print of the offer rather than helping me use the coupon for the previously transferred out domains.

Seems the coupon for transfers is allowed to be used only once per client.
