Sedo process

I've bought domains on Sedo before and it's always been pretty quick.

However, my latest purchase seems to be taking ages!

I made an offer on a domain, and after a bit of back and forth we came to an agreement.

I then made payment to Sedo.

Since then the only update has been that the seller needs to renew the domain as it expires soon. They have done this, which I can see on the whois record.

And then... nothing.

It's been a few days now and there have been no updates. Is this usual?

It's a .com and I wondered what the transfer process was like? Do they take ownership of the domain first and pass to me, or do they just give me the auth code?

In the past the domains I have bought have been with my preferred registrar, so they just got the owner to push to theirs, and they pushed to me. In this case it will actually require a transfer.

Yeah, I think my expectations have just been set a little too high due to past experiences where I had domains in about 48 hours.
