A company Cure.Fit in the health and fitness sector has recently raised $120 million in Series C.
They have 4 brands under the umbrella name of Cure.fit - Care.fit, Eat.fit, Cult.fit, mind.fit

The founder had earlier sold Myntra.com for over $300 million.

Just trying to think from the mindset of a millionaire founder.

Why would he choose a .FIT over a .COM or a .IN?

surely the price would be much more cheaper
why would mind about domain extension if he/she gonna sell the business within 3-5 years LOL

Because .FIT perfectly fits his fitness business.

There is a trend that companies use ngTLDs that can well describe their business natures and get better Google search ranking.

.com does not describe anything about their business natures but makes their URL longer.

BTW, CureFit/com redirects to Cure/Fit.

Yes but branding a .fit vs a .com is a different game. Isn't it?

who care? the founder made it so he could sell the business, the branding problem would be passed on the buyer LOL

The founder is the kind of person who stays in the game usually!! He will have to brand. The company has already raised $120 million. So, he must have branded it quite well to reach there!
